I want to start by praising the young man who assisted us at the drive-thru; he was very helpful and friendly. However, I’m not sure if it was because we ordered later in the evening, but the rice we received was hard and stale. I bought dinner for my family of five, and unfortunately, everyone’s rice was disappointing. It made our burritos and tostada salads difficult to eat, to the point where we had to spit out the food and couldn’t finish our meals. Given the high prices for a family of five, it was extremely disappointing to waste our food due to the inedible rice.
We often joke at home that this place is like "Pollo Loco Roulette." Why? Because our orders are consistently wrong. For instance, we’ve ordered salads only to find we received no salad dressing when we got home. More than once, we’ve had to go back into the restaurant after using the drive-thru because something was wrong with our order or something was missing.
The line here is comparable to that of McDonald's or In-N-Out. The drive-thru is efficient, and it’s definitely worth the wait. This is the best Pollo Loco in the valley. Just keep in mind that later in the day, they might run out of their popular items, but everything is always fresh.
This place used to be our stop place on the way back home. But it went downhill these last few times. 1- burned, dark rice 2- chicken is dry and heck, not edible, edges are burned. So messed up! As it?s not fun to get home and not be able to feed my kid????

I got a cured, dry chicken family meal for the third time, so this place in newhall strikes me. I picked it up at 15 o'clock, so if they still insist on going here, not to go this time to this place....must be left by lunch.
The chicken was delicious, but we had a bit of a wait at the drive-thru window. After placing our order, we ended up having to wait in a parking spot for 20 minutes before getting our food.
Absolutely how I remembered it! Aside from the covid forced to use the drive thru.... So good to get to have some of the delicious food again. Haven't been too California in 16 years.
As far as the drive-thru they're pretty quick, the food's good, but the line. Wow. The drive-thru line is always 10 cars deep at least. Other than that place is great

It took longer than I anticipated to receive my food, but the restaurant was pleasant, the chicken was moist, and the staff were very friendly.
Staff is beyond awesome!! Manager is very nice abd friendly makes you feel like your coming over for a family dinner
