I've never written a restaurant review before, but I feel compelled to share my experience at El Pollo Loco due to the poor service and disappointing food quality. I waited 45 minutes just to reach the cashier, even though only two customers were ahead of me. On average, it took over 20 minutes to place a single order. I've been to many El Pollo Loco locations across different cities and always enjoyed them, but this one felt more like a street vendor selling tacos.
The portions served were small and fragmented, and the salad was made up of large pieces that were nearly impossible to eat. Despite the long lines, there was only one register open, and the staff seemed more interested in chatt...
I've been waiting for most 20 minutes to receive my order. I figured out I received the wrong item when I got home. I ordered 10 pc mixed chicken but got 10 pc leg thigh. I went back to the store to correct it. The staff was talking to another staff inSpanish to clarify the problem. They were laughing and talking, didn't take any action immediately, but wasting my time.Eventually, I received the correct item I ordered, but I didn't receive any respect or reimbursement in the whole process. WhenI got home, I found the wings were not well-grilled, still raw inside. It's a very dissatisfied, disappointed experience afterall.
For some reason, despite the less-than-ideal location, this particular restaurant in TC provides the worst customer service I've ever encountered. It's been a few years since we last visited, as I had hoped things would improve. I would much rather go to the location at Duarte Rd/Santa Anita Ave, but unfortunately, my family has moved past that option. Additionally, the chickens served here appear to be quite undernourished.
I live in Arcadia, but I tried this restaurant for the first time today because the Pollo Loco in my area has been consistently dry. I ordered the fresh, juicy chicken, and wow, it was incredibly delicious! I've been visiting Pollo Loco for nearly 20 years, and this is the first time I could truly taste all the flavors; it was so juicy and flavorful! I live in Arcadia, but I went today for my first time to this location, because the Pollo Loco in Arcadia is so dry, so as always... I ordered fresh juicy chicken and oh my God it was so delicious! I have been going to Pollo Locos for nearly 20years and this the first time that I could taste All the flavors, it was so juicy so tasty, so delicious! During my recent visit to the El Pollo Loco drive-thru, I encountered two main problems. First, I ordered two churros, but they were missing from my bag. Second, I asked for extra salsa, but the employee said they couldn't give me any. Isn't there a self-service salsa bar inside? Given these issues, I don’t think I’ll be coming back to this location, even though the rest of the menu seems appealing.
There are plenty of parking spaces available, and it’s conveniently located next to a CVS. The aromas during lunch are delightful! The entire restaurant is filled with the enticing scent of grilled chicken. It made my mouth water. My order was cooked to perfection—moist and absolutely satisfying. I will definitely return when I'm craving grilled chicken again!
The quality of the food at El Pollo Loco has declined significantly. The chicken is often either undercooked or burnt. They run the store more like a street taco stand than a proper restaurant. Improvements are definitely needed. On the bright side, the restaurant is clean. However, the presentation of the dine-in menu items falls below expectations.
