El Saltillo Mexican

We often dine at El Saltillo on Cedar Lake Road and have always had a positive experience. This time, we decided to check out the El Saltillo on Highway 49. While it's not dreadful, it was only average at best. The atmosphere was crowded and quite noisy. The service was decent, though a bit slow. It seemed strange that some tables had salt and pepper but many did not. Moving forward, I think we’ll stick with the Cedar Lake location.

There are three El Saltillo restaurants that I know of. I really like the one in Orange Grove on US Hwy 49. The atmosphere is pleasant, the service is good, and the food is excellent. I try to vary my menu choices but, the fried shrimp is to die for. It is fried in a tempura type batter and served with Spanish rice, guacamole salad, and French fries. You won't leave hungry.

This is a fantastic restaurant! We rented the party room for my son's birthday, and they did an excellent job. The venue was clean, and the staff was very friendly. Unlike other Mexican restaurants I contacted, which either wouldn't accept advance reservations or charged for them, this place allowed me to book ahead without any fee. Highly recommend!

Absolutely 5 stars every single time! This is my favorite Mexican restaurant—the atmosphere is amazing, and the staff and waiters are exceptionally friendly! And of course, the food is fantastic. This is a weekly lunch meeting place. Shay is a fabulous server. She remembers my lunch is always spot on. The food is always good. We typically get the same most of the time but have tried various over time. Chicken quesadilla with cheese veggies verygood as is the fajitas platter.

My wife and I sat down, ordered some margaritas, and to our surprise, our food arrived just five minutes later. The service was fantastic, and the food was delicious. I would highly recommend this place to anyone passing through Gulfport. Wow!

During my visit, the restaurant was quite busy. The server was not very attentive and forgot some of our meals, which were served to us cold. The seasoning on the dishes was a bit lacking, but the prices were reasonable.

I think the food here is one of the best. Thanks to all who helped with my husbands party upstairs. We appreciate it greatly and will be planning our next big party there again. The Party room was awesome!!! Reserva una mesa ahora

This is the most friendly place we go. They are all friendly and make us feel at home. The food is outstanding and the service is great. I highly recommend this restaurant.
