Well, it should have been my first clue on how this dinner was going to be when the server told us the food wasn't that great. ? We had a large group, by the time we got our drink orders the server got one, then left. Chips not great. Salsa not good at all. Main dishes were not good. The beans were horrible, rice I'd say almost tasted stale, and the portions for the price. YIKES. I'm not sure I'd want more to be honest. We tried several things between the group of 15. From chimichanga, to asada burrito, to fajita burrito, to the enchiladas. I'd say the only decent thing was the drinks (margaritas) and the taco salad.
I've been in Olympia for three years. I'm an operative partner for a chain restaurant here in Washington. Wow! I was impressed for the first time I came here to eat. Your restaurant is beautiful. Your staff so friendly and attentive. I had one of the most extraordinary dinners since I left the east coast. I'm sorry I didn't come here earlier. I'm back. The food was impeccable and my Grandez Margarita was so mixed. Delicious!!! Thanks for making my night so special. See you soon
We have a hard time because my son is incompatibility with milk. Too much affected by cross-contamination. I was shocked to find out they have a big vegan menu. I explained to our server that he can have meat, only needed to be milk-free. They worked with us to find a good meal that is safe for him. He could even have a milk-free dessert. It was so beautiful, a date night with my youngest. Great service, good food. Come on!
It's a chain restaurant, so don't go in thinking you're going to get authentic, tasty food. I love a good chicken mold, but theirs was clearly from a package and not freshly made. The staff were so overworked that they didn't have time to get our order right. They offered a free Margarita but when I told them I don't drink they walked away. I won't be going back

Damn, this is not the El Sarape that I remember from years ago. My advice? Don't bother. Overpriced, poor quality and lacking service.You'd be better off eating the beans out of the can and making a burrito yourself at home.Giving it a second star only because it has really cool light decorations inside.
Visiting from California: Great service; the food was not so great. Ordered the enchiladas dinner; the rice was under cooked and the chicken enchilada was a bit dry lacked flavor. Also ordered the street tacos dinner, this was great! Drinks could have been a little been a little more 'presentable '.
To be honest, what she pushed on four stars was a completely separate vegan menu. The food will not blow you away, but it was good and I guess that places with several vegan options that are also a good place to eat with non-veg people. Updated by previous review on 2022-08-17
I stumbled across this place while traveling and was ecstatic to find they had a tamale. It was amazing. I really enjoyed the food. Best Mexican I’ve ever had!

I am picky about my food, especially enchiladas and this is by far the best I've had from a restaurant. So freaking good!
Comfortable setting with very cute decorations. Food and drinks are always amazing. The service here is always fast!
