Family member purchased a fish and shrimp caldo to go last night and found metal pieces in it as pictured here. She took it back right before they closed and was told they would let the manager know and he'd call her back the next day. The next morning the manager calls her and he reacts as if it's no biggie. He said it was part of the metal sponge they use to clean the pots and that it's happened before. He did not offer and apology and instead just dealt with it as if it was no biggie. We should have read the reviews which would have helped us avoid the bad experience! Our waitress looked like she didn't like her job. On top of that, when you walk in it smells like sewage mixed with some type of a cleaning chemical. It was our first time here and right away she wanted to take our order; we asked for a few minutes to review the menu. Well she never came back so we had to wave her down. The food was good but it will never be good enough to make up for the bad service. The waitress took our order, we got our food, and she never came back! As business owners and managers, we must learn to identify these issues and correct them right away.
Really brings the feel of a traditional sea food restaurant from Mexico.. live musicians on occasions, lovely wait staff, and the food is basically comfort food.. nice and warm for the colder weather.. but when you get that fish fillet and a beer boy do you feel at home..
Food tasted good. Wish it had more variety in ceviche. The sauce for the shrimp cocktail tasted different from other Mexican seafood places I've been before. Customer service was just regular nothing above and beyond.
