Elaine's on Gordon Cafe

Elaine’s cafe exploits young workers and refuses to pay award rate for holidays. I wouldn’t recommend this cafe to anyone unless you’re happy being served by wait staff who aren’t being paid adequately. She’s told her staff she can’t afford holiday rates so therefore she’s going to just pay normal rates over holiday periods. This is unacceptable. The way she handles conflict is unprofessional. It’s not the staffs fault you can’t afford to pay award rate, and to tell them it’s their fault that you have to close because they’ve asked for adequate pay is awful.

I always enjoy visiting here for coffees and cakes, very relaxing outdoors cafe area and the semi retired couple who run the place have great hospitality skills. A very simple bayside cafe, not elaborate in their decor, just a warm suburban inviting feel. <br/ <br/ Redlands/Cleveland is blessed with many great coffee places (excuse my bias! local is where the good roasts are.

Very sweet neighbourhood cafe. Warm and friendly service and yummy well priced meals. We had the avocado feta on Vienna toast, and savoury mince on toast both were excellent and generously sized. Would definitely come back and wholeheartedly recommend.

Me and my sister stopped for breakfast Sunday morning and for the price $9.95 it was good value, down the road they were charging $14.95 and you got less, will go again. Nice friendly staff to and orders were pretty quick too. Reserva una mesa ahora

Three of us went for lunch and, though the food was OK and the service was OK, the ambiance was not good thus we probably won’t return as there are lots of competitors doing a better job for the money.

We recently went to Elaine's for brunch, the food was scrumptious and quite generous servings for the price and the Merlot coffee was pretty good too. Definitely be back again.
