Worst customer service....Last night my friends and I had reservations for her 35th birthday party. We called and asked ahead of time if they had hookah to which they said yes...the MAIN reason we booked the reservation there so we could eat, drink and hookah...When a few us of arrive they proceed to tell us there is no hookah available do to a private party. When we told them that was the reason we reserved with them they did not care either the manager who was rude said sorry and walked away...we decided to just get the table order some drinks and an appetizer and wait for the rest of the party to decide what to do...even though birthday girl was very disappointed. With the exception of dessert, where two of four flans were under baked to the point of being sugar encrusted soups, the food was decent. However, the drinks were outrageously priced, especially for the quality.Our entire party's dining experience was completely ruined by the horrid service received from our server. He maintained a snide attitude from the beginning that only worsened through the evening. The trappings of service were certainly maintained, but were delivered in such a cloyingly insincere manner, that they might as well have not been there. The people out front were about as helpful as a lump on a log. Of course the two employees were too busy chatting with each other like it's high school social hour to come closer to our car, so I couldn't exactly make out what they mumbled about valet parking not starting till 7 or something. So we pulled off an found a meter. Inside the staff was great, the space is well decorated, pretty fancy but still feels relaxed. I don't know what it was but there was a FANTASTIC smell coming from the kitchen as soon as we walked in, must have been some sort of roast or maybe bourbon or who knows what.
Very disappointed with online reservation made for Mother's Day, only to get an e-mailed cancellation late Saturday evening due to restaurant closed on confirmed date. The cancel notice was received after several reminders confirming my reservation made two days prior. This is poor business communication, and consequently creates a rippled effect for bad business. After discussing with manager, no offer of apology and down-right rudeness toward expressions of the inconvenience they caused for what should have been a pleasant day of celebration. I definitely won 't be back here. I tried to come here one night but didn 't even make it to the door! As a van was pulling out of a parking spot, I slipped in after it. I couldn 't see that a guy in his black Mercedes was waiting to back into the spot. He then backs up parallel to me so I couldn 't open my door, gets out and tells me to get the f out of here. I was told later that he is one of the owners of Copia Wine Bar. I don 't know how a place can expect to stay open when their executive people get hostile toward their customers.
Customer service is terrible, the managers are terrible no one knows what's going on no one is on the same page you ask one manager one thing and get a completely different answer from the next. I tried to book a birthday party there and was told i couldn't book events then told me they world check with a manager and cane back when the same answer but said im able to come and enjoy the garden so i called back 2 days later ands was told i cannot go into the garden becasue they have a event booked and the entire garden is full.
