Ellis Square Social

I decided to have dinner and a drink at this restaurant before a show at the Cabot, and it was a fantastic choice. I appreciated being able to reserve seats at the bar, and the bartender was very attentive. They had a great selection of beers and my cocktail was spot-on. The brisket grilled cheese I ordered was delicious and top-notch. My friend had the chicken sandwich and also gave it two thumbs up. The atmosphere was great and the proximity to the Cabot couldn't be beat. While parking in Beverly can sometimes be uncertain, we didn't have any problems last night. Overall, a wonderful dining experience.

Great location,ambiance and service. Food for a limited menu restaurant was sub par. The gnocchi was undercooked and meatballs were hard. The mussels were mushy and spicy broth was over powering in flavor. I suspect the dishes were premade and heated up. Both dishes came within 10 min of ordering. The dessert was the best of the three dishes we ordered.

Ellis Square was a pleasant surprise We were attending the Cabot Theater and wanted to have dinner at a nearby restaurant. The food and service were great, we will definitely be back.

Our first time here. Our server was lovely and made good suggestions. We had four different entrees and all were great (chicken, tuna, salmon and steak frites). We’ll be back.

We always enjoy the food quality and service. I had yellow fin tuna on spicy polenta with roasted carrots and it was terrific.
