Here now for the lunch buffet. Very small selection. I was underwhelmed compared to other Indian buffets I've been to.Food is just ok. The butter chicken is probably too spicy for most (and for a buffet). I don't mind it but people would definitely have issues. Also it had chunks of dry chicken in it. It should be tandoori chicken.The korma sauce is nice and nutty and the tandoori chicken is acceptable.I probably will not be back. The lunch buffet is $12 and far too small. Choice of 6 dishes? Come on. Also only 2 salads and no soup. No fresh naan either.I know places east of Toronto that do a larger lunch buffet for $10. Again, I am not impressed. Food is ok, acceptable at best. We have been in Canada for about two plus years and live in Ontario and BC. This is one of the better ethnic food in a smallish city. The service was a little bit slow but very attentive. We love the goat curry. The Bhuna lamb was average, we have eaten much better Bhuna lamb. The Vindaloo chicken was pretty good, but can be a little too spicy for people not used to spicy food, so beware. The garlic naan bread was made to order, piping hot and tasty. The papadam was exceptional too. The kulfi ( both mango and pistachio ) was the only disappointment, it tasted like ordinary ice cream not the North Indian ice cream that I love. I have been disappointed for the last time, My Empress!Although the food is really great, I don't recommend lunch BUFFET. Poor planning or just being cheap, not sure. Have to constantly ask for food items to be replenished at the buffet Trough! I walked in today for lunch, checked out what was available and got dissapointed for the last time. Of the eight main dish items, half were completely Empty! If they would agree to only charge me half price, I might consider but that won't happen.I don't recommend this place at all, try for yourself.

Have tried most of the Indian restaurants in the region and so far this is our favourite. Pleasant atmosphere -- although the last time we were there they were playing some kind of hip-hop for background music (kind of out of place for comfortable dining). Nice variety, very good, skillfully prepared Indian dishes, naan, and drinks. Reasonably priced. Friendly service. Reserva una mesa ahora

I was really impressed by the service at the Empress of India. Our waitress was very sweet, helpful and the service was quick. The food overall was quite average. It lacked flavour. Nothing was awful, but it definitely didn't live up to many other Indian restaurants I have visited.

A group of us met for a celebration and unanimously agreed that Empress of India was the place to go. We were not disappointed. The food was very good. Our server was good, but she was alone where there should have been two servers, thus, run off her feet.

Many delicious dishes to choose from. We have never been disappointed with what we have ordered. Service is friendly and quick. The naan is amazing.
