I love this outpost of the Flemish excellent in france. every food I had here was perfect: I love cold cuts of meat and I love pate, cheese and roulette. here I am never disappointed and the accompanying chips remind me of the. a my grandmother made. all this and locally brewed ales would make it beautiful, but the decor, local, cordial greeting, make the place practically perfect. when I find myself in the Cassel area, I am always looking forward to an estamine, and everyone I have recommended to love the place too. price reasonable, proportion reasonable and excellent quality. the location of this traditional style restaurant is wonderful, right at the top of the hill, on which cassel sits, and that is amazing. the interior of the restaurant is old-fashioned, but in a very good wise cozy atmosphere. the menu is...not extensive, but there is a large selection of traditional local foods. there is also a selection of daily specialties. there is a good choice of wine, beer and apple wine and the in-house beer and aperitif are recommended. the workers were very friendly and attentive and did not seem disturbed at all by our sometimes poor French!
I would advise everyone to avoid this terrible place. eating is roughly over price and the food proportions are small. the weeping we have served was terrible and the owners do not care about it. we wanted the weeping to change what he did, but. the substitute wine, which is very expensive, was just as bad, so we have abandoned. we've been driving to France for 20 years, and that was the worst experience we've ever had. the owner is not important and does not deserve to be in business.
not your typical French Flemish bistro Estaminet in French, food well served in an old fashioned way, tastes are authentic, simple, yet in some dishes, lost tastes of the past can be found.. it is worth visiting, and the beer selection is also very...good. Different and priced accordingly, not over priced.

The place is charming but the food is not at the minimum level of what we expect from an estaminet. Portions are quite small, French fries not fresh and most weird point, welsh is without ham... Last point waiter is really kind but not the...cashier!!
Very unusual place: a real backwards with a decor, antique and rustic furniture and covers An exceptional scenography and perspective!! 5 stars for chicory wine and apple pie. I strongly recommend.

Correct, but not at all the best local estaminet (frozen fries? Lack of generosity and a little taste). The pleasant service catches the whole.
