Food used to be great in prior months but we had two bad visits in a row these last two weeks.The first of those two visits was food that was supposed to be but was not at all spicy. Even my wife agreed with that view, and she thinks bland food, by my and my son 's perspective, is spicy. The owner, whom we met for the first time that day, told us we had to specifically request our order spicy, which was a first.The greens on the above day were also not as expected. We 've had them soft and leafy here before, but that time they were full of rough stems. My mom, daughter and I came here for dinner last night to celebrate my birthday and we were blown away : we grew up in the city and recently moved to the Western burbs... I have been missing my favorite Ethiopian restaurants on the north side of the city and was so happy to find a place that had good reviews nearby. The food was absolutely delicious and our server was hey sweetheart. This will be a new favorite of ours. Thank you so much!
Wanted to try this place for a long time. So glad we did. It did not disappoint. We ordered Sambussa for appetizer, Ethio Bean combo with extra Injer for main course. This was enough for 4 people. We got to try great selection of different dishes on one platter. Our favourite was the red lentils and chicken curry. Finished with coffee to round out the experience. Delicious fresh home made food and served by friendliest host.
Food is cooked with love and intention. I've never been to Africa, let alone Ethiopia. However, I have been to several Ethiopian restaurants and Ethio Beans just feels more welcoming--like you're coming home. This contributed to a relaxing and joyous dinner for two!

Love how many vegan options there are. The vibe of the place is so friendly and it feels like everyone there is family. The cultural tea was beautiful and everything tasted fantastic. Excited to discover this place so close to work. Cant wait to bring others here
Came to Ethio Beans by chance and was more than pleasantly surprised. Extremely welcoming, they were able to explain meals and drinks perfectly. And they were presented to us in the coolest way ever. Great food and extremely healthy. We will be back so soon!
I was really looking forward to trying Ethio Beans Ethiopian Restaurant, and I have to say, it exceeded my expectations. The food was outstanding, and the staff was very welcoming. We will definitely be returning!
Awesome yummy Ethiopian food. The owner personally served us. She is so sweet and welcoming! And, wow, the food was so fresh and delicious! This is a great place for vegetarians!

I ordered the lunch special, and it was absolutely delicious. The host was very patient in answering my questions. The food was cooked to perfection and tasted exceptional.
