Well, I was sitting at a table with my family all afternoon. We got there at around 3 and were kicked out for no real good reason around 6. The big intimidating man-child security guard came over and asked for our id’s AFTER our parents left to use the bathroom. My brother gave his, his girlfriend gave his, and I didn’t have mine, so he took my drink, no problem. He bent and flicked my brothers girlfriends and came to the conclusion that it was fake. If you consider yourself a classy person, do yourself a favor and do not visit Eventide. Not only were we harassed multiple times to give up our seat at a table by undesirable clientele, we were profiled and treated poorly by the bouncers who were presumably under the influence. Having grown up in Jersey, just a short drive away, but now living in Connecticut—my brother, girlfriend and I were screamed at by the bouncer for having state issued driver’s licenses that he didn’t deem acceptable. We offered him to scan them to verify them, but he said the restaurant does not have the resources to buy an ID scanner. Make sure you have seven forms of ID. We were there with our kids who had ID on them from Connecticut and they kicked us out because they didn't have more forms of proof. They are 24!! If that's the deal then get a scanner to tell it's real! They live in Connecticut and we're visiting. NEVER IN MY LIFE HAVE WE FEL MORE DISRESPECTED! We have been going there for years and this is the first time we've never had an issue. And they started the harassment when Dad and I went to the bathroom and I couldn't even talk to them about it after!! We sat there for 3 hours with no problem until we left the table. the entire atmosphere was beautiful as they upgrade the outside space. riverview is exceptional. beautiful place to observe the sunset. they will not miss any games, as the tvs are great all the way around the bar area. also liked the separate and quieter esarea. the 50 Asian wings were great. the grilled chicken was excellent with sparing and potato maid. the prime rib special for $19.95 was good, but a little cooked and was scattered into too much rugged cheese for my lust. Overall, I come back to try more about the menu. it is a beautiful place and the winter prices are very good.

My wife has been wanting to come here for a while, as who doesn't love dining by the water? I had warned her about the terrible food here and had been avoiding this place. Finally, I gave in and brought the family. Unfortunately, the food turned out to be as bad as I had feared, and you can find better options at the nearby 7-11 convenience store. The only thing worse than the food is the high prices. However, if you're just looking to enjoy the view of the river and have a few drinks, I would recommend it. Food: 1 out of 5.
