Eventide Oyster Co.

Seen good reviews and heard couple locals recommended so just thought to give it a try. I had my wife go in, order one lobster roll for carry out while waiting in the car because there would be too much of a wait time for a table just to try one of their lobster roll. After she brought it back and paid almost $24! including tax and tip $21 for a tiny lobster roll), I opened it right away of excitement even though I knew it is pricey and small but didn’t expect it is much smaller than I could imagine. It’s literally one small claw and some chopped up small pieces of meat on the plain bun and without anything else comes with it! It’s almost like they put those lobster on top of a small piece of bun in the middle. Don’t let my picture fool you but those bun is literally shorter than 5” in length! Flavor is also just okay to me where I think it would be good enough with little butter and nothing else. I don’t even really care for scallions or other extra stuff. Overall I think It is overrated and won’t be going back again for $21 lobster roll where I could spend $28 and get much more lobster meats on it elsewhere in town and also be more delicious. Definitely not recommend getting takeout of this menu.

This place was exceptional. Initially told a 30-45 minute wait we got seated in 15 mins for a table of 6. The house made chips were good with a yummy dipping sauce. The brown butter lobster roll on the bao bun was delectable. We all LOVED it. My sister enjoyed the scallops she ordered and My dad also enjoyed the House Pastrami Bun. This is a MUST to visit when in Portland. Recommended on Tik Tok and by locals landlords of AIRBNB

I had exceptional seafood at Eventide Oyster Co. They offer a wide variety of oysters. They were very clean and fresh and the accoutrements were great. The blufin crudo was great, as was the lobster roll. This spot is a must when in Portland.

There are tons of great business owners who takes care of their workers in Portland. Eventide wants their customers to pay for their workers by charging 5% staff fee. I will support other restaurants in Portland !
