Absolutely no lettuce! If you're here, you need to try the local specialty: the Zep sandwich. A Zep is not a hoagie, which typically has lettuce. Instead, a Zep features one type of meat, thickly sliced onions, thickly sliced tomatoes, provolone cheese, oregano, oil, and sweet peppers are optional. That's all there is to it. The sandwich features fresh meats nestled in rolls baked that very morning, complemented by sliced onions and tomatoes, a drizzle of oil, and a sprinkle of oregano. It's nothing extravagant, yet it surpasses the individual ingredients, making for a delightful meal.
Zeps are outstanding. Flew in from Florida and couldn’t wait to get one. Staff isn’t friendly at all. I tried to add an item to my order, the young lady didn’t hear me, she responded “WHAT?”.I said never mind because I’m not used to being spoken to that way. But the sandwiches are still the Best.
