Nothing to Rave About, but Decent Food. The Farm House Cafe seems to engender strong opinions, both positive and negative. I can't figure out why. The atmosphere used to be pleasant and spacious, but over the years it has definitely grown tired. I doubt the place has been remodeled in the 20 or so years it has been open. It definitely could use a fresh coat of paint and a steam cleaning. The menu is comfort food all the way. If that isn't to your liking, don't expect to enjoy your meal. Then again, the name of the place should be enough of a tip off. While the Cafe is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, I suspect 75% of their weekend business is breakfast. I DINED IN ON A THURSDAY EVENING. THE TEMPERATURE OUTSIDE WAS ABOUT 35 DEGREES RESTAURANT ATMOSPHERE WAS PLAIN AND BORING AND DIMLY LIT, MUCH LIKE THE ELDERLY PATRONS THAT SEEM TO FLOCK TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT I ORDERED PANCAKES, AS THAT IS THE ONLY FOOD THAT MATTERS. I ORDERED THE 3-STACK AND A SIDE ORDER SINGLE POTATO PANCAKE. THE REGULAR PANCAKES WERE AVERAGE. A DARK GOLDEN BROWN, NOTHING SPECIAL STOOD OUT TO ME. Our family loves this restaurant! We get breakfast here more Sunday's than not. However, as other reviews state there is ALWAYS a wait and it's super crowded. That's why we choose to get carry out for breakfast. The food is always amazing! There have been a few times that items were missing from our order, but after a phone call and a drive back the problem was solved. This has happened 3 times out of maybe 50. I highly recommend the breakfast scrambles they come with a huge delish homemade cinnamon roll!!
nothing bad can get out of the building. everything they had was always excellent. I had the quiche from her special lunch menu, which was really good, even if I had it in the day after (because the part was so big that I couldn't finish it in a sitting amd, the half of it had to go to the muffins are delicious, and these pancakes! the best I had in my life. yep Reserva una mesa ahora
in the last 9 months or so have been in a few times and the experiences were in order, but nothing special. eating was in order, but there is a lot better options out there. the service seemed both idly and inconspicuous and they were not unusually busy. a little expensive for a mediocre experience. nothing terrible, but I can do better everywhere.
Bad scrambled eggs. I like farmhouse but they really need to teach the cooks how to scramble eggs. Why cook them until they are hard clumps? I even asked for soft loose scramble and was still served hard over cooked brown edged eggs. I guess from now on I will order a breakfast with out eggs. Their waffles are great!
