Farmers wife is a family owned farm that is basically a meat shop or butchery that also offers farm grown eggs and jams as well. Located off cedar creek road near the zoneton and Shepherdsville lines this family farm has very limited days and hour when they are open for business. Living not to far away from this place I've been wanting to try it for years. We finally made the stop in to his holiday season as we were gonna make Christmas Eve ribeyes for my in laws and wife family at our house. A few friends of ours recommended Farmers Wife, so we decided to give it a try. We started with an eighth of a cow and some chicken, and now we can't imagine getting meat or chicken from anywhere else. We highly recommend it! The staff is incredibly friendly, which is an added bonus. Give them a shot—you won’t regret it!
They have great meat at great prices. I personally love the gourmet patties/ gourmet ground beef. if you like hamburgers definitely get the gourmet blend. They have a wide variety of beef cuts and pork and chicken and other things there too this place is my go to.
I really enjoy supporting local family-owned businesses! They offer incredible beef, pork, chicken, and sage sausage that are simply fantastic! We won't be purchasing from the grocery store anymore; this is where we'll continue to take our business.

I've had several friends tell me how good their meats are so I tried some 80/20 burger and rib eye steaks. I'd give them a 10 out of 10 on both. Need to stock up next trip!
I visit weekly to buy milk, eggs, and meat. The quality is excellent and the prices are reasonable.
