Fayette Street Grille

Good food, our server was excellent. When we arrived WITH a reservation the only table still available was in the doorway. We were informed if we wanted to wait for a more desirable table, we could be seated as soon as one cleared, but we would only have an hour to eat as that table was part of a large reservation arriving later. We agreed to the one hour limit but we felt very rushed as people were starting to line up in the doorway. We have been to Fayette Street Grill many, many times over the past 10 years and are always pleased with the food but not on a Saturday night. we have been on the fsg for years and have always found it a great value. this trip was a great disappointment. the menu was buried, probably keeping a price point by selecting less quality. for example, no escargot, no bark beef (also with a charge), no dark side of the moon chocolate cake, etc. on Saturday night at 19 o'clock there were only two black chops. most diners were not even sitting at that time. we had three lamb shafts on the table, two were well cooked, the third was not braided properly. two chocolate cakes for dessert, one was perfect, the other dry. my piece of buttercake looked like it took a bit out of it. the server explained that the crust had dropped off when it was pla...

At our table, we ordered three lamb shanks; while two were cooked to perfection, the third was not properly braised. For dessert, we tried two chocolate cakes—one was excellent, but the other was dry. My butter cake arrived with what appeared to be a bite missing from it. The server explained that the crust had crumbled when plated, but it honestly shouldn't have been served in that condition. Overall, the selection, quality, and consistency have clearly declined. It’s unfortunate to say, but I don’t see a reason to return.

I absolutely adore this restaurant! I've dined here 3-4 times with friends and have also had a few lunches. I even ordered lunch for pickup and enjoyed every meal. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, and everything feels so fresh. You can see the chefs working in the kitchen, and they occasionally come out from behind the grill to say hello and ensure that everything is to your liking. It's a wonderful experience!
