I have been going here since the day they opened, so many years ago. I absolutely love all the different styles of bread and their luscious desserts. They have a huge assortment, of baked items and condiments. There's something for everyone! It may seem expensive to some other reviewers but in defence of this bakery, they use only the very best ingredients for all of their products. The staff is always accommodating and helpful. I will continue to promote this bakery because it is second to none and I'm grateful to have them in our neigbourhood. I'm looking forward to when they open their second store in downtown white Rock.
Today I made a trip to Feildstone 30 min. drive) because I wanted that certain style and quality of bread that is so hard to find. There quality of Artisan breads are a rare find and anyone that appreciates true old world breads will agree this is a gem. I picked up a Baquette and a loaf of regular white bread, sooo tasty I had two sandwiches when I got home. I needed a nice dessert for a special dinner with company and brought home a few Lemon tarts, they were a hit to finish a meal. I've been a Baker and chef for forty years and truly appreciate quality.
After checking on their website their operating hours I headed down only to find them all working inside but the doors were locked. The hours posted on the door state they open at 9:00, however, their website clearly states they open at 8:00 every day except Sunday. Very disappointed and they have lost a customer, not that they'll even notice.
We heard about this bakery and made a special trip to buy some fresh pie and bread. The pie was OK but very expensive... in fact, ridiculously expensive. It wasn't memorable in flavour so we were disappointed. Nonetheless, their store has easy access, the staff are friendly, it's clean and has a good ambience.
