Sad to see this is no longer dog friendly. We were both looking forward to a comfy seat after our walk and, having visited before on a few occasions albeit our last a couple of years ago had thought we’d be ok here. No. Dogs...outside only so a picnic bench on the roadside for us it was. We will make sure we aim our pit stops at one of the many cafes in the area where we have been made welcome
The restaurant had a welcoming atmosphere and pleasant ambiance. The menu was typical and offered comfort food options. The portions were large, but overall the food was somewhat disappointing, particularly the side of child chips (which were replaced fairly).

Very good although were near the door and our legs got cold when the door was opened. Had to put our coats over them.
Staff were so lovely and welcoming and the milkshakes/ hot chocolates were amazing! Will definitely be back!
This place is a little gem great coffee and food and great staff do not go past this cafe you will regret it

"Liver and onions was creamy and tasty. This is a quiet small hotel restaurant and a very nice menu. The sticky toffee pudding was unfortunately store bought and just average but enjoy the main course."
