Paid for a large chips and was given less than what I’ve had when I’ve ordered a small in the past, when I asked the staff members if this was definitely a large chips she said “yeah” with an attitude and smirk. Staff member then asked after 10 minutes why we were still sat there and then realised he still hadn’t put our rissole in the fryer. The older staff have always been so good with their customer service and yet the younger staff clearly have an attitude. Its a shame this chip shop has gone so down hill recently when I have been coming here for years. Would also be good if they stocked up on their products higher when they clearly a popular item.
I tried again after years of avoiding due to prices! Staff are miserable in there with no enthusiasm or customer service. I found it weird how they won’t do a large bag of chips anymore basically it’s a small (kids OAP) or a regular size which you can get a large cheaper for another chip shop under a mile away which almost double amount of chips! I can’t say I would rush back, I would rather use Cefn Glas chip shop or one of town centre ones.
Arrived 1/10/21 8.40pm only one customer in the shop I waited over ten minutes by the till to be served fir the boy frying rice say we got no chips !!! Ermmm perhaps say that to your customers as they arrive not when they been stood there waiting , he then started to giggle not sure what he found funny , the young boy serving out the front was polite and apologised however the clown at the back clearly had no idea about customer service
Disappointing that they put two tails of fish together and batter it and then call it a fillet of fish. I have complained to the shop and they say they never do it but yet again I have two thin tails laid together and battered and fried. Very expensive poor quality It’s the last time I will purchase from them. With the prices they charge they should be able to source quality fish rather than very thing slices joined together.

I stopped by today on my way home from work and decided to try the sausage special. Unfortunately, it was so bad that I had to throw it away. The undercooked chips were the worst I have ever had. This place used to have the best chips, but not anymore. If you enjoy giving your meal to the dog or like undercooked chips, then this is the place for you. Absolutely disgusting.
We’ve been to Finnegan’s many times had lovely fish from there. We went on Sun 12th Feb ,ordered fish , twice fried so batter is crispy chips. We took them home opened box to see fish looked very greasy when cut could see batter wasn’t cooked properly chips were pale greasy. They were returned we were given fresh which again were undercooked
I always have a great experience at this restaurant. I have never been disappointed with a meal from there. The staff is friendly and the restaurant is always clean. They offer a wide variety of menu options. While the prices have gone up slightly in the past year, the fresh and delicious meals make it worth it.
I was extremely surprised to pay over 40 pounds for three orders of fish and chips. The lady sitting at the counter did not give the best first impression. The food portions were very small and disappointing. I will not be coming back to this restaurant.

Awful customer service today, served by a girl who was so miserable, no please or thank you, she had a scruffy cardigan on, no apron, hair all greasy and hanging down, not hygienic at all. Food was rock hard. I’d never go there again.
It’s got to be up there with the worst chip shop I’ve have ever been in! Never in my life again! Way over priced and went straight in the bin!
