My first time there and we got ribs brisket and most of the sides between three people. It was mother's day weekend and first nice day out. There was a ton of people there and so things were understandably slow. The girl working the front seemed unfazed and was friendly and efficient. Things in back were a bit heated I could hear. The brisket was great as were the ribs. They had a nice char and smoke. The ribs might have been a bit dry. The sides were all good. This was the worst bbq I have ever had! The tiny smoked chicken wings were so over smoked they were inedible. The skin was very hard on the outside and the meat was extra dry on the inside. The rib tips were over smoked on the outside and hard and full of fat on the inside. The macaroni taste and texture appeared to come from a box with some shredded cheese tossed on top and baked. I will admit that the greens had good flavor, but the leaves should have been correctly cut into bite size pieces not half of the leaf. I personally didn't enjoy the mac and cheese, but my sister-in-law liked it. I wasn't sure what to expect since I had heard mixed reviews. The greens had too many stems and were overly sweet for my taste. I ordered the brisket dinner, and the brisket was both flavorful and tender. In contrast, a $70 brisket order I had elsewhere was tough. I didn't try the sides that came with it. My mother-in-law mentioned that her rib tips were quite good too! Just being honest!
I really tried to force myself to eat all my food and couldn't. I had the sweet potatoes, greens, ribs, coleslaw, and rib tips. I didn't finish any of it. I knew it wouldn't be southern cooking, but it was way different from anything I ever tasted. How do you mess up ribs? I usually don't do reviews, but this was very disappointing. We spent over $80 andeven if they just had a bad batch we will not be back.

The best BBQ place in Minneapolis! The value is unbeatable, and the takeout is consistently ready on time. My personal favorite is the pulled pork sandwich. I would prefer the fries to be a bit crispier and to have less potato. The mac and cheese and sweet potatoes are my favorite sides. It's tough to top the FEAST order for a small group!
The pulled pork sandwich was excellent, and the collard greens were superb. The sweet potatoes were perfect, and the ribs were divine. Everything is takeout, and it's so delicious that you might just want to eat in your car right there in the parking lot!
I ordered the 2 meat special, ribs and brisket. Both were tender and juicy. I also ordered a small container of mama's hot sauce. It adds an interesting dimension to the taste. I will be back again!
Is was better then I thought!! Ribs were falling off the bone. Greens were perfect. Had to make sure they didn't have my mother back in the kitchen cooking. Will definitely be going back.

The sides were a little lack luster, but the sandwich itself was amazing. Would recommend getting an extra side of BBQ.
The mac n cheese is delicious! Their ribs are large and well cooked with tasty bbq sauce. Their service is great.
