It was my 1st time in a Firehouse Subs, it will be my last. Give me Subway any day for several reasons. 1. Very specifically asked if the sauce spices on the Turkey Jerk were hot spicy. Answer no, it all creates sweet. That dude needs to eat that sandwich. It was so spicy it went to the trash. 2. Sanitation The gal making a meatball sandwich had the bun sitting on the lid of the warmer. Wasn 't on anything else till she moved it to foil to run thru the oven. Much prefer Subway where I can actually see my sandwich being made. Plus, I get way more stuff for the price. 3. Time waiting awful! 1 or 2 people, at Subway, can move the 5 orders 3 people at Firehouse were making within minutes. I was...
Out of 5, I'll give a 4. The food (Firehouse Sub, and Club) were very very good. Staff was nice overall. Restaurant itself is pretty new however, it was pretty dirty. Tables weren't clean, lots of debris on the floor, floor matt wasn't vacuumed and the place wasn't busy. There were 2 cooks and a cashier. Someone came from the back but considering they were staffed, the place should have been A LOT cleaner. And there were lots of flies... This, however, WONT stop me from going back. The food was REALLY GOOD.
Been about three times, all of which my food was barely hot. Overall, before my most recent experience, a 3* (edible but far from my first choice) but today what I received was a completely lukewarm sandwich with an obscene amount of juices or liquid from something which turned it into more of a stew than a sandwich ; the bread was soggy, and the sandwich was a complete mess. Would not recommend at all.
This was my first experience with Firehouse Subs and I must say, it far exceeded my expectations. The food was hot and delicious and the staff was very friendly. I hope they maintain these standards. As it stands, if you're considering stopping in YOU SHOULD! You definitely won't regret it.
