Egal ob der Matjes als Vorspeise, das Rührei mit Krabben, das Krabbengratain oder das Seezungenfilet. Wer hier nicht satt wird, ist selber schuld. Das Preisleistungsverhältnis ist sehr gut, das Essen schmeckt so wie es sein sollte und auch der Service ist äusserst zuvorkommend.Wir waren nur aus Zufall in diesem Lokal. Alleine wegen des guten Essens beim "Fischers Fründ" lohnt es sich nach Gretsiel zu fahren.Werden wir auf jeden Fall wieder bei unserem nächsten Ostfrieslandrrlaub hin fahren und als festes Highlight in unseren Urlaub einplanen.

Wir freuten uns auf eine Fischsuppe und kamen kurz nach 20:00 Uhr, es war nur noch ein Tisch besetzt. Sowohl die Suppe, als auch die Fischplatte waren nicht gut. In allen anderen Restaurants zuvor war das Niveau der Speisen deutlich höher. Die Bedienung passte sich diesem Niveau der Speisen leider an > unfreundlich, fehlerhaft. Wir haben uns sehr geärgert, in dieses "Restaurant" eingekehrt zu sein und werden es nie wieder tun.
Leider recht lieblos - ostfriesische Gemütlichkeit findet man hier nicht.Der "warme Apfelkuchen" wird in der Mikrowelle warm gemacht. Die Flasche Wasser für knapp 5€ ist die billigste Marke vom Supermarkt. Das warme Essen war ok aber keine kulinarische Besonderheit. Insgesamt recht lieblos und mit wenig Mühe. Aber die Touristen kommen ja trotzdem...
Frisch, lecker, reichhaltig, gemütlich und ein super Preis-Leistungverhältnis, was will man mehr? Vom 08. bis 14.10. wieder in Greetsiel, Herbstferienzeit. Spätestens ab 19 Uhr ist das Restaurant brechend voll, der Service gibt sein bestes. Hier muss ich ganz klar meinem Vorrezensenten widersprechen, ohne Reservierung geht es nicht!

Waren im September 1 Woche in Greetsiel. In dieser Woche sind wir mehrere Abende im Fischers Fründ zum Essen gewesen. Sehr zu empfehlen sind die Edel-Matjes und der gemischte Fischteller. Freundliche Bedienung incl. Chef. Wir kommen nächstes Jahr wieder.
Der Service war super. Die Speisen wurden recht schnell aber dennoch frisch zubereitet serviert. Die Portionen waren sehr gut und der Geschmack auch sehr gut. Die Fischplatte war sehr groß und die Qualität 1a
