Fish King - Reserva de mesa

Ordered food yesterday for them to turn down my order. Went to the actual shop took my order witch was for 4 adults and 2 children charged me for an extra meal witch wasnt wanted to my order very sly good job I already worked out how much it would come to. Fish was off sickness and runs. Mixed kebab wrap chicken was burnt black rock hard, Donner was thin, dry and crispy. All of this was thrown in the bin after a few bites. Gone down hill since the new owners have taken over will NOT use again!

We don't typically eat fish and chips, but Fish King has always been our favorite place to get it. We stopped by on our way home from vacation last Thursday when we were hungry. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed. The fish and chips were lukewarm and dry. It seemed like the food had been sitting out for a while since there was no one else waiting. The mushy peas were an strange green color, watery, and not appetizing. We won't be returning to Fish King.

Fish n chips to take away. I've been going to this chipper for years now, through three different owners. Following a shaky start just after the current owners had taken over after a 3month shutdown for refurbishment the standard of the fish n chips is back up to excellent again. I have plaice, chips and mushy peas most weeks and haven't been disappointed since they've found their mojo again. I recommend the food and the friendly service.

I was very let down tonight as this restaurant had previously been known as the top fish and chip shop in Newark. I'm not sure if there are new owners now, as it was closed for a period of time. The chips tonight tasted like they were cooked in old oil, the fish batter was soggy, and the mushy peas were too watery, like pea soup. The fish itself was good, but overall it was a disappointing experience. Reserva una mesa ahora

Ordered 2 chicken kebabs. Meat was not sliced to order, instead taken from a container on the side. It was cold and dry as anything. One kebab had mixed salad in it and sauce, the other one just a bit of ropey lettuce and hardly any sauce. Strange that they were so different considering we ordered 2 of the same! Such a shame as the kebabs there used to be so nice. Won't be returning.

I ordered a pineapple fritter and mushy peas, but what I received was not at all what I expected. The pineapple fritter was not a potato fritter, and the peas looked strange, like they were from another planet. I am extremely disappointed with this experience, especially since we live in a rural area and my husband went out of his way to pick up dinner for me.

Got home from holiday on a Monday. Didn 't want to cook so went to Fish King for a takeaway. The Monday night special is a small fish and chips for £5.00, so we had one each. Firstly, it 's not a small fish and chips, rather a very good portion for the price. The fish was nicely cooked and the meal was piping hot. What more could you want???

Have been coming here for the last 2 years, never had an issue until the past 2 visits. We travel far for the food and thought we’d give it another try this evening. Fish wasn’t appetising at all. It’s a shame as used to be very good Reserva una mesa ahora

Used this chippy for years, since Tina left it’s rapidly going down hill. Cod roe has been off on several occasions, fish smelly and the no cod for weeks.

Disappointingly, burnt fish and largely tasteless. Chips floury and hard On the other hand it was a quick service.
