Fishbar Manhattan Beach

Went here last night after the Cirque du Soliel show, Toruk-The First Flight. My wife and I looked it up on Yelp and read the reviews, which were mostly positive. It's rated 4 stars and was open late, another plus. We loved everything about this place. It has a very classy Hawaiian plantation theme decor. Both the food and service were (not to sound cliche), spot on. I had a delicious New England clam chowder soup as the appetizer, coconut crusted Mahi Mahi with brown rice and steamed mixed vegetables for my main entree, and sticky bun ice cream sundae for dessert that we shared. My wife had the lobster tacos. The coconut crusted Mahi Mahi was superior, but believe or not I enjoyed the soup...

Love this place! Every time I was, it's always delivered. Food, service atmosphere was great... the halibut is super fresh - the cook says they order it completely and do everything full in the house - how cool it is! have both lunch and dinner here and both meals were very good, I think I have to go back and see what they can do for breakfast, but that only at weekends - I will be back before!

Could not be faulted when we were there last evening (lobster night) great oysters and excellently cooked Maine lobster and some nice wine choices. We don't normally have room for dessert but we're glad we made the exception. Also faultless service by John the Canadian waiter. The best meal we have had in Manhattan Beach, going back through several visits. We will come back.

This place has the most amazing Clam Chowder on the west coast. Lobster is affordable and the drinks are good and affordable especially during the happy hour. Has a cool beach chic ambience. It is nice to finally have good seafood without paying an arm and a leg.

We brought an out of town guest to your Fishbar last nite, we all loved our fish dishes. I will tell more friends to eat at your place. I have eaten there 5 times now, I must like your food. You have the freshest fish ever.
