Fishology Poke - Reserva de mesa

Fishology Poke Bar was our lunch stop after walking part of the Humbug Willow Creek Trail. Their selection of bases and proteins was pretty good and there were a lot of toppings to choose from. The fish seemed fresh. The regular bowl looked really small when we first saw it, but they pack everything in. I kept adding toppings and they all fit! There was one person behind the counter but she was very friendly and helpful. It was a late lunch so no other customers. They have tables just outside their storefront in shade and the weather was perfect for that. Our dogs could sit with us while we ate, which was great. My only issue is the price. The only good thing about this place is the nice staff. The poke was definitely not worth the $23.19 that I paid for a single bowl. This is the worst poke I’ve had yet and I’ve went to my fair share of places. They have a good selection of proteins but when it comes to actual GOOD topping choices, the bar is lacking. I was very dissatisfied and upset. The rice was nasty and mushy too. I ended up throwing half my food away because I simply couldn’t continue eating. I will not be coming back, but maybe you’ll have a better experience than me.

Great spot in Folsom for poke bowls. I always do well with the regular, in fact, I have a hard time finishing it, but my husband always devours the large. Friendly staff, very clean and great selection of fish. Sometimes not all the fish looks amazing so I just get what looks good. I've never been disappointed. The sauces and toppings are varied and they don't hold back. We like to eat there but it seems most people do take out. I also like that they have some outdoor tables. Great for lunch or dinner.

I generally don't write reviews, but I was genuinely disappointed with the food we ordered from here. The staff were great and super nice. Shrimp tempura was very soggy and the baked fish dishes didn't have much flavor. It tasted like one sauce and had a strong fish smell. It felt like the food was pre-made and reheated slightly. Tasty and fresh poke bowl with spring green, but pricey at $18.99 for a small bowl (its small, if really hungry get large). Not sure why tips requested on payment screen for carry out esp at price point. Would come back again. Service: Take out Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $20–30

Food is so good here! The quality is way better than another place I thought I'd try out in the area.... Won't be deviating from Fishology ever again! Top notch food here! And the service is always great too!
