The restaurant is typically good, but tonight the fries were very dark and overcooked, yet they remained hard. They also had a lot of black potato eyes and did not taste good at all. Additionally, the fries were only lukewarm. I was not impressed and will give them one more chance. If they do not improve, I will take my business elsewhere. The service for takeout was rated a 4, the food a 1, and the atmosphere a 3. The price per person for dinner was between £10-£20.

Went in for the first time in 6 months tonight due to having awful food last time, asked for large haddock and at £7.50 I assumed I would get a nice peice of fish, how wrong I was no bigger than a Spratt that looked as if it had been cooked and left from lunchtime, took it straight back got a refund will not go again or recommend, awful Food: 1 Service: 3

The restaurant is engaging in shrinkflation by significantly reducing the size of the Snack Box for the same price. The food is tasty and the service staff are very good, but this feels like a rip-off and should be reevaluated. The price per person ranges from £1-10, with a food rating of 1, service rating of 4, and atmosphere rating of 4.

Final night on the canal network and a fellow boater told us about this fish shop and co op! Co op was irrelevant but the fish shop was amazing! The food was to die for, i had a mediterranean chicken kebab meal! Staff and service were fantastic and came quickly as well! Highly recommend! If ever you are in the Rugby area and had a yearning for Fish and chips you can do no wrong by paying Fishsmiths a visit. Wonderful freshly cooked cod in crispy batter, chips that are fluffy, crispy and non greasy, the battered mushrooms are a must. Probably one of the best chippies in the midlands if not the UK

Have been to this chippy a lot. I have never had bad food. The chips are always hot and plentiful and the sausages and burgers are tasty and fresh. They do lot of different foods and the service is superb, the place is clean and tidy and they are open in the afternoons if you want an early meal.

I was asked three times what I wanted and my order was still incorrect. The chips were undercooked, making the whole experience a waste of time and money. I will not be returning to this restaurant. I would advise others to avoid it as well. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
