The restaurant is beautiful, but parking is tight and you may need to park a block or two away. Despite the lovely walk, we had to wait about an hour to be seated. Once seated, our server took our orders but never checked back on us. Our food arrived incomplete and our server did not come to rectify the situation. When we finally flagged her down, we were told that the child's meal was delayed due to cooking the burger well, and the adult meal never came out. Frustrated, we canceled the order. The service was slow and we were not even asked about dessert. The only reason for the 2-star rating is because the food was delicious. The catfish nuggets were perfectly cooked, and the fried chicken...
I tried the oxtail here and it was incredibly tender and flavorful. I also enjoyed the various sides we ordered - the okra was delicious with bacon, the Swiss chard was tender yet not mushy, and the kartoffel salad was scrumptious. The fried chicken was juicy and the biscuit that came with it was buttery and flavorful, especially when paired with the blueberry butter. The service was pleasant and attentive, although the food did take a bit long to come out. However, the waitress made sure to check on us regularly, which was appreciated. Overall, this place is one of the best for seafood and highly recommended! So good!

I was quite surprised by the spicy colesaw, but everything else was fantastic? This is the second time weve ordered from Fixins, so we loved it the first time and again this time. Only disappointment osthat the Door Dash menu doesnt have some items that are in the restaurants website. We really wanted the fried green tomatoes and the artichoke dip, and couldnt get them. Catfish nuggets are fabulous. Biscuits were delicious. Chicken and Waffles, devine; as were the greens and candied yams. Yummmmmmmy!

The smothered oxtails were incredibly tender and practically melted off the bone. There was a generous portion of oxtails and gravy. The fried chicken was also tasty, maintaining its crispiness even after a 20-30 minute delivery. It was well-seasoned and not greasy. The grits were smooth and creamy, the potato salad was delicious, and the collard greens were good although slightly salty.
Overall, the food at Ms. Ruth's Plate was very tasty. I highly recommend it. I tried three fixings: the yams were rated 7/10, the potato salad was a 9/10, and the corn bread was an 11/10. The Three Pieces Chicken was delicious, with a rating of 8.5/10. The Mac and greens were both rated 7/10 and 8.5/10, respectively.
The food here is fantastic! I especially enjoyed the mac and cheese and red beans and rice, and the biscuits were delicious. The smothered huh was the highlight of the meal. The restaurant is very clean and the servers are excellent.
The Three Piece Chicken could have been more flavorful and crispy, but the potato salad and Banana Pudding were excellent! While it was a bit expensive, I believe dining in person may provide a better overall experience.

Best fried chicken I have ever had!!! The macaroni and cheese was great. Coleslaw had a little kick but was good. Even though I dont like sweet pickles in my potato salad, that was even good!!! Worth every penny!!!!
This was out first time here and felt welcomed right when we walked in! The food was AMAZING, service was great and got our food quick! We left then came back later for drinks! Highly recommend!!!
