My boyfriend and I had a great dinner there last night it was not my first time there I've always loved it we got steak dinners an appetizer I had two cocktails and I believe he had one beer and it was amazing as always in the prices were impeccable. I would like to start by mentioning the excellent server, Jarren G, that we had. He was very polite and courteous. I also want to give a shout out to the chef tonight, as the food was delicious. We came to Carbondale for my husband's cousin's funeral and asked some family members who live here for recommendations on good restaurants. Out of all the options, we chose this one based on the excellent reviews, which turned out to be true. I am now leaving my own positive review. We didn't want to go to a restaurant that we already have in our hometown.

The atmosphere at this restaurant is nice, and the food is decent but not exceptional. However, I found it to be overpriced. I would not recommend ordering the Ahi Tuna as the texture and seasoning were not up to par. The service was good, with a rating of 4 out of 5. This is a good spot for a dinner meal, but be prepared to spend between $20-30 per person. Overall, I would give the food a rating of 3 and the atmosphere a 4.

If I could give this restaurant 10 stars, I would. Our waiter, Justin, provided excellent service. My wife and I dined with another couple and we all thoroughly enjoyed the food and drinks. We had zero complaints. The pretzel was perfectly cooked and the filet cooked medium was delicious. This Carbondale, Illinois steak restaurant is solid. The mushroom soup was outstanding. The 8 oz filet steak was cooked well, but had an excessive amount of pepper. The warm bread rolls were not freshly baked. The fried bread pudding with ice cream was tasty and the frying method added an interesting twist that worked out well.

The steak was good, but the shrimp pork belly dish was served cold and didn't pair well with the steak. The salad was unimpressive and messy. The service was rushed but friendly. Overall, one of the better meals we had in Carbondale.
