Lovely selection on the day menu, 4 adults for lunch. The cheapest set menu at 16.90 for 3 courses was fantastic. Choice of three options for each course. All beautifully presented and excellently made, BUT, massive long waits for our food. We saw others come, order, eat and leave in the time we waited between each course. Staff are very pleasant and the atmosphere is really nice. Very tastefully decorated without being too posh but not scruffy either, a very nice restaurant.
Looking for a restaurant one busy Saturday lunch time, we saw the menu and decided to go in rather than look around. how lucky we were as we got the last two places available. The food was excellent, well presented and copious with good service. Just a three course lunch that satisfied our tastes, needs and wallets.I would recommend booking on weekends as it gets very busy and people were turned away.
In sables d'Olonne for the finish of the Vendee Globe race. Totally unfamiliar with the town, but recommended to Fleurs de Thym by very kind van driver. It was very cold weather and we arrived a few minutes before opening time and sat at table near window. Service was slow, we were not offered a better table in a warmer part of the restaurant. However the meal was excellent.
The market on this cold windy day was disappointing but the lunch ticked most of the boxes. This was our second outing to the line of restaurants along the quaiside at Sables and we opted for the 3-course menu at €20,80 with three options fro each course which suited us both. Very disappointed with the last times menu at 36€ entry panna cotta goat aubergines no taste without interest rumsteck skewers with potatoes ok leafy raspberry chocolate I searched for raspberries ... not found any taste without interest decrease due to the end of season ??
Service very slow. Ordered seafood which was prepared outside which was sat waiting for 30 minutes with flies all over it. When we tried to complain 3 waiters came over forcing us to touch the plates indicating they were still cold and so therefore fine. Very rude staff!
I had a lovely time at the restaurant " fleurs de thym." At the sables d'olonne there are a lot of restaurants to chose from but we were not disappointed with our choice.The food was lovely just a bit disappointed with the dessert....the service was fast
Great location on the quayside. Delicious dinner. My husbands tuna tartare provoked serious food envy in me but my sole with artichokes made up for it. Friendly staff Reserva una mesa ahora
