We have been here several times, both as a couple and with all the family on Father's Day, the service and food is always faultless. The food is always fresh and hot, we've never had to wait too long and the chef will often ask us how if our meal is okay. Basic pub grub but clearly cooked with care and attention. Although we are not regulars, maybe once every month or two but the bar staff seem to recognise us and always greet us with a friendly hello. The photos on Trip Advisor do not do the pub justice, it's a lovely quaint pub and I will take some more up to date photos next time that we visit. I really enjoyed this pub. Despite being owned by the large Greene King brewery, it has a cozy, local atmosphere. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and they take good care of their cask ales. They even have Belhaven Black bottled, which is a tasty stout that I haven't seen elsewhere. They also offer a variety of craft beers in bottles and cans. The traditional pub food menu is tasty and well-presented, with dishes served hot. The care and attention to detail here sets it apart from many chain pubs. I highly recommend this pub and will definitely be returning as long as they maintain their high standards. Great job to all the staff - keep up the excellent work!

This pub is fantastic. It has a strong sense of community, yet everyone is welcoming and friendly (although it can get noisy on important football match nights, it never gets out of hand). Matt is an outstanding bartender, and Olly and Sam are fantastic as well. The Thursday quiz night is excellent. They offer great drinks at reasonable prices, and the food is cooked with care and attention. What more could you want from a pub?

A large group of us (19) went, they went above and beyond to accommodate us. Gave us the entire restaurant end of the pub and kept us informed throughout.
