We came here in a Monday evening before the busy Christmas season. One of us was a local foodie and had been wanting to try this place.The place was spacious inside and looked very tasteful.Our server was very friendly. Even though she forgot something later on, it didn't really bother us.We had some cocktails to begin with. I had a Jamaica Fresa. It was beautiful and delicious. We also had a Tequila Matador. It was quite well made.Food was overall quite good. Some dishes were better than others. For example, I did not enjoy the pork belly that much.It was a quiet night. I travel into Calgary frequently for work and stay at the hotel which is attached to Fonda Fora. This restaurant/lounge is a little gem in downtown Calgary. The food is excellent, always fresh and full of flavor. The staff are always friendly, well versed in the menu and always helpful if you're undecided on a dish. Stacy and Leia need a special shout out for their exceptional service. Would Highly recommend Fonda Fora if you are visiting Calgary or local and looking for Mexican twist.
Not highly recommended for brunch. We chose it for a birthday brunch because the menu is different than your average breakfast joint and I loved coming here for dinner. However, it was a mediocre experience- the service was extremely slow, we waited more than 15minutes for coffee and the place seemed mostly empty. Three out of 8 of the food orders were mixed up. Overall, I have higher expectations for a place of that caliber.
The food at this restaurant is absolutely incredible - every dish we tried was amazing! The entire menu is gluten-free, except for the churros, which is a huge plus for those with celiac disease. The noise level was perfect, allowing for a peaceful dining experience without being disturbed by other tables' conversations. The service was top-notch, earning a 10/10 rating from us. We will definitely be returning in the future.

I went to this restaurant for brunch last weekend to meet up with some friends I hadn't seen in a while. The food was amazing and we all had a great experience! I will definitely return and look forward to sitting on the patio in the summer. I'm also excited to try the dinner menu next time!
Wow, just Wow! This is probably the best restaurant in Calgary. Absolutely outstanding food that is authentic fine dining Mexican, amazing staff, and a very well put together atmosphere. I eat here every time I visit Calgary.
Omg....Fonda Fora is such a delight!! Not only is the food incredible, but the staff is second to none. Audrey and Elle are ever so friendly, and make your experience memorable. Must try, come check it out!!!!!
We had a fantastic meal here with friends. The margaritas are amazing. Our service was top notch. Friendly. Funny. Attentive. A pleasure dining here. It's pricey but well worth it !
