Foo Asian Street Food

We were Loki g for something a little bit different as well as flavourful, something to spark the tastebuds, and we drove by this place and decided to stop in. We ordered the Tuna Tataki bowl with buckwheat noodles and cucumber salad. This was light and delicate, with the tuna cooked to perfection...that is, seated on the outside and rare on the inside. Healthy and appropriate for a light and satisfying dinner. We then tried the special of the day, which was a Seafood Laksa..sooooo comforting, with it piping hot, rich coconut broth, noodles, veg and fish dumplings. This was decadent and flavourful and generous in portion. Exactly what I was looking for, although I couldn't quite articulate it prior to arrival. I took home the leftovers and look forward to part two! We chilled and sat on the list side patio, which although, alongside a major downtown road, was surprisingly very calm and made for a relaxing meal. Friendly staff, assessable and flavourful all at the same time. Oh yes, and a good value! Definitely recommend and will return again!

Having heard great things, my wife and I stopped here for a take out. The place was empty when our order was taken, but soon started to fill. We waited and waited and orders were flying out the door, with the exception of ours. Having approached the guy who took our order, he denied all recollection of ever seeing us. I must reiterate that the place was completely empty when we arrived at mid afternoon on a Sunday. At that point, they hastened our order and we were away within five minutes. Unfortunately, they failed to fasten the lid on our food properly. Within 10 mins the curried broth and seeped through the paper bag and most of the contents were lost.It maybe a cheap eat, but I do expect to have the full contents of a meal for my hard earned dollar.Not a great first impression and I'm sorely disappointed with the overall experience of Foo-Asian.

Overrated and overpriced.Clearly from some of the 5 reviews posted you expect an experience that pulls you back time and time again.I am huge fan of quick, easy hole in the walls that offer quick bites at reasonable prices; this place is not that!$14 for a bowl of rice and a separate bowl with a few prawns with a little sauce drizzled over them is appalling...The food is ordinary but the portions and price are what is appalling.I had no sauce on my white rice...not much of a meal or a special.My GF ordered a bowl of noodles which for price, again was very small.The food is ordinary and the prices outrageous.The staff were friendly.It just felt more like daylight robbery...than lunch

I grabbed some take out food to bring back to my hotel. The Chicken Pad Thai was incredible with tons of flavour (made with dark chicken meat though). The portion size was HUGE. The dessert was incredible which was a banana spring roll... Decant!! Only 4 stars instead of 5 as I had also ordered a regular order of spring rolls but when I got back to hotel they were not there and I was too tired to walk back.

This place is hands down DELICIOUS! Everything on their menu is made to order and super filling! If you're looking for a wide variety of asian food - Chinese, Japanese, Indian, etc. - this is the place to go!
