Foo Wah Seafood Chinese Restaurent is located near Colin Street which is an area that is spoilt for options and offers a huge selection of restaurants (I have already written a few blogs on the other places already, so check it out). I believe the story is that Foo Wah is owned by one of 3 brothers who own Foo Win and Bullcreek Chinese Restaurant. The food here is really nice but the prices of the dishes are a little bit more expensive and portions sizes are smaller in comparison to other Chinese restaurants. I'd like to start by saying that this place has fantastic service. The manager is very friendly and helpful. She is attentive to your needs and service is quick here. It is recommended that you should book beforehand as it can get quite busy. I took some family to this place for dinner tonight and we had a booking for 6:30. Within half an hour the place was full and buzzing! <br/ <br/ We had the Japanese tofu with seafood, yam duck, salt and pepper squid, and kailan vegetables cooked with garlic sauce. Very busy little local Chinese restaurant. All tables were reserved on a Sunday night! Not a fancy restaurant but the food was fresh and delicious. The yam duck was meaty and a highlight. Food came out very quickly. The only complaint would be the beef and spring onion dish was a bit small in size and the tea a bit weak.
This is genuinely good Chinese food. The restaurant was quite full for a Wednesday night (always a good sign), and service was really friendly. Sweet and Sour Pork was great as was the Combination Omelette and Satay Chicken. First time we've been and definitely won't be the last.

This is a popular restaurant. I have been here many times. Haven't been here for lunch, but dinner is always busy, so book in advanced if you can. They do take away via phone order or in person as well. But the pricing of the dishes here is a little expensive.
Had lunch special here the other day... Was quite busy by 12pm. Service was fast and food was good... Their other dishes always descent... I like their duck in plum sauce.. The restaurant was old though, I reckon some renovation on the interior would be nice
This place uses pretty fresh produce which translates to some tasty dishes. It's a clean restaurant with lovely setting and have definitely been back quite a few times. Another note for visitors is that this place is a staple for Asian locals.
Been here many times mainly for dinner. Food was great and never really have much issue. Service was pretty quick and efficient. I think their price is slightly more expensive than some other chinese restaurant around.

Flavour wise the dishes here are generally good, but compared to other Chinese restaurants, the food here tends to be more expensive and portions are smaller. I'd probably choose to go somewhere else for Chinese food.
Best Chinese around. A little expensive but food is excellent. Service was fine and menu was filled with everything you needed. Takeaways are really nice also and dosent take long to wait. Go back anytime
