How this place has four stars is far beyond my understanding. One star is four too many. My wife and I got food from here and the sheer lack of care that goes into this food is wild. I ordered a shrimp scampi and she ordered a beef ravioli. I could only taste the lemon in the scampi and it wasn 't strong. This flavor was only brought into the food because of a river of flavorless butter water that was the sauce. It was like the ingredients just didn 't like eachother or something and gave up. The shrimp was obviously frozen. It has that back of the freezer taste to it. It was like eating rubbery air.
I stopped in here on a Sunday afternoon to watch football with some friends and was happy to see it was open. When you look the place up on Google it says that it is closed on Sundays but a sign outside the restaurant says that they are open before, during and after UConn games. Lucky for me there was a UConn game that day! The free weekend street parking in Hartford is definitely something to take advantage of if you don't mind a short walk. The inside is decorated inside
This is my absolute favorite restaurant. You get the best service, and delicious authentic Italian food here 100%! I?ve tried several different things from the menu and each time I?ve been extremely satisfied. You can tell the ingredients are super fresh when you taste each meal. If you?re looking for a great food experience, look no further. I gladly recommend Fornarelli?s to everyone!
We enjoy fornarellis restaurant. We go there for a girls night to chat and socialize. Each time we get great service, an enjoyable meal and a nice bottle of wine. No rush to turn over the table. We’ve had apps, salads and entrees all fresh and tasty. My husband’s bolognese was ordinary but everything else I’ve had was enjoyable.

Some of the best Italian we’ve ever had. Service was great, bartender/manager was great to chat with and suggest drinks. If we’re ever back in Hartford we will 100% make time to go again!
The food was tasty and the service was excellent. We visited for lunch during the week and I definitely intend on coming back. Consider trying their happy hour specials as well.
Nice local family owned Italian restaurant in downtown Hartford. Good happy hour selection of appetizers and the main entrees we ordered we very tasty.
Fantastic service and the food was delicious! I highly recommend the bracciole! I encourage people to get out and give it a try!

Did take out and thought the food was really too greasy for my liking. Will try something else next time.
Tried the meatball sliders at the Hartford Food Festival. They were delicious!
