I've had bad experiences with casino restaurants in Tahoe so I typically avoid them. However, my son injured himself and we were stuck in the hotel so we decided to give this place a try. We ordered take out and brought it to the room. We were pleasantly surprised by the fresh and flavorful food we received. We ordered: garden salad, which was fresh and had a flavorful dressing curry chicken skewers, which were tasty and good but a little too charred. I should have ran when I saw that this restaurant does sushi and Chinese food, but let's start with the service. The place was nearly empty on a Saturday night and all of the servers were up in the front yucking it up while we waited for our drinks. We finally had to wave someone over to get them. The sushi was well below average and the albacore had a weird, dry piece attached to it that was like jerky. It was inedible. The chow mein noodles were all wrong. I liked the pork buns, but you can get the same at Trader Joe's. This restaurant willl no be open for long. Avoid it.
we went last week to fortune restaurant, it was terrible! we ordered a cheek that not only tasted tasty, but was soggy! we ordered the ton soup, the broth was good, but the flesh was hard, the sweet soggy. Finally we ordered broccoli and bark meat with oyster sauce. the next one I can come to a description, was that it resembles a lean kitchen frozen eating we did not eat much of the food and then waited for a bill, we finally got up and went to the recipe area and asked for a bill, our waitress read a magazine! was so disgusting!
Last weekend, we stayed at Montbleu and decided to try this restaurant. Unfortunately, it was a mistake! The spring rolls tasted like rubber, although the sushi was decent. Overall, the food was lacking in flavor. I suppose we can't expect much from a hotel restaurant. Next time, I think I'll dine outside the hotel. On the positive side, our waitress provided good service and was very pleasant.

I plan on coming here all the time whenever it's open. This is the best sushi I've ever had! They prepare the sushi fresh, made to order, and once they sell out, they're done for the day. I live in Sacramento but make my way to Tahoe every weekend, and this place is definitely my favorite spot.
The sushi comes with fish scales, and the imitation crab is served in its plastic wrapping. The chicken in the salad packs consists of large pieces that taste charred, covered in a burnt sauce. On a positive note, the steamed rolls are decent, and I had no issues returning the two sushi rolls.
Server had his first day, and I thought he did a splendid job. Food was not good. Tempura was overly oily. Good tempura should be white, not soggy and yellow. I would not return. Overpriced.
My Pad Thai was more of a soup than anything. We also ordered bbq pork buns, which was microwaved. I highly recommend you do not come here...

My stomach still hurts a week after I eat in this place, not to mention how expensive it was compared to the quality. DONT GO HERE!!!
