Have started coming here as one of my friends recommended this place. Once I went in I felt immediately welcome and just ordered a tea and a burger meal which looked very impressive and was very tasty. Have since been there once or twice a week now and have tried most things on menu. There are homemade cakes and scones and apple pie. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff, if you don't see something on menu you can ask. I thoroughly recommend this place and will continue to visit every week or more if I have the time!!
Decided to pop in at lunchtime for an omelette and chips and ended up having freshly made potato and leek soup with a roll instead as it was a cold day. Food was absolutely delicious and warmed me up, place was absolutely packed and it was hard to find a seat and yet service was quick and friendly. No matter which day of the week I come here or how busy there is always time for a smile and a chat. Will be coming back again soon, thoroughly recommend!
Not great here at all. Its been a long time since I'd been here but went for a breakfast recently and the quality was really poor. Took me a long time to get served and I think I was eventually served by another customer. The breakfast came out and it was freezing cold and things were overdone. Really bad considering I was one of only about 4 customers there
It's like the secret tea room. I was impressed with it and the staff and value for money and I will happily return here when I am in the town in the future.

Love the fountains tea room beautiful food, always a lovely atmosphere and very friendly staff always making you feel welcome I would 100% recommend
Had a take away roast made bye claire it was amazing the beef was so tender and sort the rosties yummy it was all so lovely
Latter and cheese toasties £8.60. Toasties comes with crisps and coleslaw. Cosy cafe. Alice in Wonderland theme
