The name of the restaurant refers to the village in Taipei just south of the military factory operated by the 44th unit. Personally I didn't know about such area in Taipei, but this establishment obviously pays homage to the village's cuisine. We were on a food crawl on a Sunday and its Gua Bao (pork) $6.95 was our first stop. We were very pleasantly surprised when we got here. This block on Prince Street has gotten a complete face lift and the vibe has become quite hip. Inside the decor has also been redone. The partition is very strange as the entrance leads straight into the galley while the dining areas are located on both sides. The two Gua Baos were ready rather quickly in about 10 min...
The taste is not the same as before.Also fried pork chops. Found this gem while killing time before my movie and over all it did not disappoint.We where seated right away and the Food came out fast and was filling.The flavors were there and the portions where large Didn’t get to try the broths so we must return again, probably before another movie but not before a 4Dx movie. ?
I really enjoyed the tomato beef noodle soup! The broth was incredibly flavorful and the tanginess from the tomato paired perfectly with it. The noodles were also delicious and there was plenty of them. The spiced edamame, however, was just average. I would definitely return for the soup.

The food at this restaurant is incredible and the soup container they use is fantastic. It has a secure seal and a separate tray to keep the noodles from getting soggy. I highly recommend trying the Braised Beef Noodle Soup. I give it a 1000000% recommendation.
The Taiwanese Braised Pork Rice dish in the photo may show noodles, but the actual dish is indeed the rice version. The portion is large and comes with plenty of meat. It offers a good balance of lean and fatty pork.

Delicious braised beef noodle a perfect type of meal that will warm you up during the cold weather. Also very quick service!
