I was very disappointed by this weingut. as new Jersey natives traveling to many different NJ wineries, I have expected more. the weeping doesn't taste good (but maybe this is my palette) I wanted to find a wee I could drink and enjoy. Once I found a wee, it was a complete RIP OFF! They only sell wee through the glass. At $12/glass... but they sell the bottle for $28, but refuse to sell the bottle to enjoy before location? So, for 2 people to enjoy 4 glasses wee, it would cost them $48, where could they not start our buy the bottle for $28 times and let me eat it with it! while the pizza was good, her “Basketerie cheese” was for the price something I would have picked up at wawa for a cheape...
Went for my husband and my 5th anniversary and adored the place! Very nice atmosphere, lovely for the autumn night we went. The lady at the front was very kind and friendly- all staff members were in fact. We did the wine tasting and had a lot of fun with it! The lady who did this with us was informative, very friendly, and willing to talk with us and give us suggestions. I was able to choose 4 wines I did like after telling her generally what I like. I also asked if there were seasonal wines which there were. The autumn dessert wine was amazing! Though my husband and I both loved the derby white so we got a bottle of that one to go. This place is absolutely gorgeous! Love the atmosphere And the property is beautiful. My 2 star review is based on the quality of the wine. The wine is just awful. There’s no other way to put it unfortunately. We tried the Oaked Chardonnay and it tasted as if it was a bottle that’s been open for weeks. The reds we tried were just as bad. The wine almost tasted sour. It’s a shame because the place is beautiful and you can tell they put a lot of effort into the winery, but the quality of the wine is just not there. I will not be going back.
fox hollow is a wonderful weingut. first it is absolutely beautiful. second, the wee is actually good. these are not the typical fruity weepings they think of when they think nj wein. these are beautiful bright, satisfying wee. they also scream for phyllis, who is simply great, knowledgeable and very customer-oriented. eating is very tasty. it is a great experience in the whole environment.

Great place to meet up with friends n family. Great scenes and vibes. Wine is super $, mediocre food wine, lot of stupid rules, lack of proper bathrooms, they know they r only good winery around so charge ridiculous prices. The live music on a Saturday was obnoxiously loud, u can’t even have a conversation. Don’t plan on coming back here unless meeting someone here. Nothing special.
Such an amazing winery and music venue. Where else in Monmouth county can you sit around a fire pit drink awesome wine, eat good food, watch great live music while enjoying a view that makes you think you are in the middle of West Virginia. If you have never been you need to go!!!! Staff is great as well!
