The pizza at this restaurant is fantastic, but unfortunately, my overall experience fell short of my expectations. I was really let down because the pizza is my absolute favorite, but the service was lacking. Although we were greeted promptly and our pizza arrived quickly, our waitress never checked in to see if the food was satisfactory or if we needed any refills. Today, I was running late coming home from work when my mom invited me over. She mentioned she would order from Freddie's. She checked the online menu and was looking forward to getting baked ziti, a dish she's enjoyed there for over 20 years. When she called to place the order, she was informed it was no longer available. She then tried to order fettuccine Alfredo with chicken instead. I've been coming here for years and when I heard they changed owners I was a little worried. But I gave it a chance and I was not disappointed! The pizza and wings were always a go-to so I was skeptical to order something off the new menu but I'm so glad I did. I absolutely LOVED the blackened truffle scallops entree! My friend got the gnocchi special and loved it as well. Our crab cake special appetizer, Italian calamari, and antipasto salad were also really good. Really excellent experience at Freddie's. The pizza was very good. Thin crust, but the bottom of the pizza was firm and crisp. It did not get soggy at all like thin crust pizzas often do. We got an extra large prosciutto and spinach pizza and it hit the spot. Just enough for two. The service really put this place over the top. The restaurant was decently busy, and our waitress had multiple tables but was more than attentive and very positive. John, who we assumed to be the owner, engaged our large group in great conversation and made us feel very welcome. Would definitely come back next time I'm at Long Branch Beach.
Hadn't ordered from Freddies in over a year. Had their sausage pepper along with a plain pie and damn, if that wasn't the best pie I had in a while. That love I have for a lot of local and great places (Luigis in Little Silver, Brothers in Red Bank, Sea Bright Pizza, and neighbors of Freddies in Nunzios, Tuzzios and La Scala in LB and West End. Freddies rules!! in an area with a lot of great pizzarias.
When I think of pizza in my area, I think of Freddies. This place is great. I love the thin crust, and even when I get extra cheese, it never comes out oily. My usual is the sausage, peppers, and onion pizza with extra cheese and I could never imagine getting it anywhere else. The staff is always super friendly and the delivery drivers are always prompt and courteous.
The best pizza I have had in New Jersey. I usually get the Meat Lovers, fiance gets a gluten free pizza. Seating is a little tight at times, BYOB. I have also ordered take out a few times, pick up is in the back of the restaurant. They have Loyalty cards to earn free pizzas.

I ordered a pizza for delivery, and it arrived at room temperature—definitely not hot! The driver delivered it without a warming bag, so I'm not sure if it was ever in one at all, given how cool it was. Additionally, the pizza was extremely thin—thinner than I prefer.
This was the best pizza in Monmouth County. Really hope it's not closed for good!
