The perfect place for fresh Cantonese seafood!! The concept of this place is to steam the seafood or meat and let the juices trickle into the pot of soup or congee underneath it. I believe there's only two restaurants in the bay area with this restaurant concept, so it is definitely a MUST visit if you're on the peninsula side of the bay! We came on a weekday night, so there weren't many people at the restaurant. That being said, parking was extremely easy!! The restaurant is located in the plaza with 99 ranch, so parking might get hectic on weekends. We ordered the clams, sweet shrimp, sea clams, scallops, beef tongue, vermicelli, Chinese cabbage, fish tofu, and lava buns! We also ordered t...

Food is great, but definitely on the expensive side. They will ask you to choose a soup base, which will be steamed at the bottom of the pot and served at the end in a porridge form, so don't be full before getting to the porridge which is very filling! On top of the soup base, they will ask you to order seafood, which will be steamed. We ordered a selection of clams as well as fish, which in hindsight is definitely two much for 2 people. The seafood are not seasoned for the fresh taste, but there are sauces at a small corner, which I do recommend getting unless you are shooting for just the fresh taste of the seafood. Ended up spending ~$90 per person after tax and tip. Although the food t...
This place is a wild ride. they steam fish right at your table, whipping up a chinese paella that 's real tasty. In the corner, a blend your own sauce station that lets you be the Willy Wonka of dips delivering tasty concoctions for all.The wall are plastered with 'Finding Nemo ' scene, so probably not the romantic vibe you might expect of a place that asks for a Benjamin per head but hey, they 'll probably let you write your and your crush 's name on it if you ask nice. The menu? Full of depressed looking fish who looked way cheerier in the tanks guess they aren 't the photogenic type... Anyhow, each of these bad boys was fresh like a Guido in a jersey shore nightclub when brought to the tabl...
I truly love everything about this restaurant. The passion behind it shines through in every detail, especially in the YouTube videos that tell the story of how Muffin Can Stop Us came to be. The bright egg yolk yellow and charcoal decor really enhances the charm of the space. Their muffin sandwiches are creatively designed and have clever names, while the muffins themselves are made with high-quality ingredients and are simply delightful. I spoke with other customers on a weekday afternoon, and they couldn’t stop praising how delicious the food is. It's evident that this place is a favorite in the community, and I completely understand why! Reserva una mesa ahora
Chinese food in US tend to be over greasy for me but this place is an exception, because they only steam... with the table-embedded high pressure steamer, fresh seafood as well as meat and vegetables are rapidly steamed without adding water or salt- and you would enjoy the real tastiness of the fresh ingredients. Shrimp, clams, oysters, yellow chicken and beef tongue are my recommendations. Ask MP item first as they tend to be pretty expensive. One secret is to ask the white rice before you start steaming and place in the bottom of the steamer, and when dinner is over you have super yummy porridge ready- try it!
Ok I had this for dinner tonight. It's not my first time eating at this place. Store is located inside a plaza but parking can get pack. Everything you cook is base on steam. The store is also not big so expect that you might end up in a waiting list. They have 1 restroom only. My rating is base on food availability on the menu.
I wouldn't recommend this restaurant unless you can speak or read Chinese. The customer service was very poor. I ended up spending $80 for just one meal because the staff member didn't understand English and sold me food I didn't want. Overall, I would give the food a 2 out of 5.
helps a lot if you speak chinese. The seafood is fresh and full of flavor which then drips from the steamer into the soup or porridge below for a treat at the end of the meal. Definitely not cheap but worth it as a dinner option on a cold city night. Reserva una mesa ahora
My husband and I love this place. The food is wonderful the service is stellar. We walked in 20 minutes before they were closing and were treated like they just opened. Love Manu the manager and the entire staff!!
Extremely over priced. Food is ok but not worth the price at all. You can buy the same seafood at half price and steam at home and get the same thing.
