We have visited this restaurant as a family several times. The food has always been consistently good, but it is on the pricier side. For example, two appetizers and an ice cream sundae cost us $50. Unfortunately, the staff seemed a bit inattentive and unengaging from the moment we walked in. The ice cream sundae, meant for a small family, consisted of a small scoop of ice cream and a small dollop of whipped cream. We also did not receive the appetizers we ordered, and by the time we realized they weren't coming, we decided to order something else as the portion sizes seemed to have decreased significantly. The restaurant served hot and fresh food, and our server kept our glasses filled with water. The portions were very large, almost making us feel sick. We didn't have to wait for a table, and I accidentally left my wallet at the table. The staff found it and kept it behind the counter for me until I could retrieve it. The restaurant's name truly reflects their friendly service. Unfortunately, there were no pictures of the food because we had already devoured it, but overall, it was a great place for delicious food, generous portions, and excellent service.
Despite their name, the staff were not friendly. I understand the 18% gratuity for large groups, but if the hostess knows that a group wants to sit together and deliberately seats them far away from each other, and then acts unfriendly, the rest of the visit is unacceptable to me. I will not be returning to this place. The food was average, nothing extraordinary. The only highlight was the dessert, for which they are known. The children really enjoyed it! The dessert alone is the reason for the two-star rating.
We had a really good first experience at Friendly’s! I ordered the clam strips and upgraded the slaw to the Mac n cheese, and my husband had the pastrami/reuben melt. Everything was great, but the Mac n cheese seemed a little bit too plain for my taste. Now the desserts, they were FANTASTIC! I definitely did not regret the brownie I ordered and ate the entire thing by myself, regardless of the fact that it’s big enough for two! Hands down would eat here again!

we were not with a friend in a long voice, but this looked so new and inviting and it was! debbie, our server was very attentive, the tables were deleted from dressing as soon as we were finished with them, eating was fresh and came out how the menu photos look! the interieur is beautiful and clean and it was a pleasant experience that was naturally decorated with a sunshade!
Haven't been to a Friendlies in forever. I have not missed much. Food was barely average, as was the service. On a tight budget, this would fill your belly. There are plenty of better options for a tad bit more .
This was like going home again!!!! Also, the manager dealt with an incredibly angry and inappropriate customer with grace and care. She deserves a raise and praise from leadership.
We love friendlys ice cream and since the one closer to us in north myrtle closed we haven't had any in a while. So this definitely hit the spot.

Traveled all the way from Hickory, NC just to go here and get a Reese's Pieces Sunday!!
Waitress was awesome. Food hot and fresh. Ice cream cream quite tasty.
