This is a fantastic stop on your way to Saint Sauveur! Conveniently located in a mall with plenty of parking and just off the highway, it’s easy to access. You absolutely have to try their poutine, especially because of the amazing squeaky cheese curds they use. If you’re not extremely hungry, the baby-size portion is more than sufficient, particularly if you’re also ordering one of their delicious burgers or hot dogs. We tried the Le Boucan burger, which comes with smoked cheddar, bacon, tomato, and lettuce, and it was delicious. The dining areas are spacious, bright, and very clean. The restaurant earned 2 stars for the food, as the smoked meat was quite good. However, charging $30 for two small poutines is outrageous. The service was awful. If you speak English, don't bother going in; you'll be treated poorly, even if you genuinely try to communicate in French. Experiences like this contribute to the negative perception of Quebec.
After reading the reviews, I decided to give it a try. I have to say, I was disappointed—it definitely wasn't the best poutine I've ever had. The flavor was lacking, and the fries definitely weren't homemade. The portions are overpriced, and the cheese curds were just mediocre. I won't be returning.
