We drove to Louisville for the day since we've never been before. I was checking Yelp before our trip and came across Fry Daddy's. We stopped in yesterday for lunch and it did not disappoint! As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by both of the owners. We finally decided on our orders. My hubby ordered loaded fries with steak fries, cheese, chicken and shrimp, hot sh*t sauce, and hot peppers. He also ordered a side of ranch. My husband ordered the steak and fries, and the steak was cooked to perfection. However, both of our orders had fries that tasted like they had been left out for a while. Because we arrived close to closing time, we weren't able to sit inside the restaurant, so we couldn't inform the staff about the stale-tasting fries. My daughter and I shared an order of chicken, bacon, and ranch fries, but unfortunately, the fries were also stale, and the chicken was overcooked. Perhaps this was all due to our late arrival, but I expected much better, particularly when it comes to fresh fries, from a restaurant specializing in them.
Saw this place on the news, looked to good to be true. It was...it was better! Did a BYO Pulled pork. I'd buy that pulled pork all by itself. My husband had the steak lobster with the garlic Lemmon sauce, my bother had the steak lobster with the j sauce and my SIL had the chicken with Buffalo. We each tried the others selections and would have been happy to eat any of the meals purchased. They were all delicious. Sadly I didn't catch the owners name, he was cooking away but still took the time to speak with us. Very nice man. Can't wait to go again next time we're in town.
I found myself in that area today was excited to see that they were so close. What freaking delicious surprise. I loved that I got there before a rush of people (they were on the news this morning), and had a chance to talk with the owner. I am on kidding when I say it was the most creative, delicious, soul healing food (nothing cures a bad day quite like epic fries). I had the shrimp and crab steak fries with lemon garlic sauce. I cant imagine ever wanting anything else! Well done! YUMMMMOOOOO

I browsed the menu and decided on a build-your-own dish with shrimp, orange teriyaki sauce, and hot peppers served over tin roof fries (the steak fries). While the shrimp were large and well-cooked, the sauce was overly sweet and lacked a distinct orange or teriyaki flavor. I also got to try a bacon gouda mac bite, which was absolutely fantastic! I will definitely order those again next time I visit.
I probably should have called or checked Yelp instead of Google before visiting, but I went on a whim on a Thursday around 1:20 PM. The doors were locked, and when I called, there was no answer. I'm giving it 1 star due to my disappointment.
I have had 2 Groupons to this place on Brownsboro Road and they both expired because they were never open. Tried getting money back but was never responded. I live only up the hill and due to health issues cannot drive far.
OMG! These fries are my new guilty pleasure! The Buffalo Ranch Chicken Bacon fries are the bomb!! The Fried Okra with the Mango Habanero sauce is also fantastic. The portions are huge. We will definitely be back!

The business is closed. There was No definite date to reopen listed, would have been helpful to have a voice recording. On the positive note, great location.
