I ate here in May 2017.First of all the building itself is probably the most picturesque thing in the entire town. Beautiful vintage facade with an interior similarly decorated.all the waitresses wear traditional German dresses and are very friendly.After I had managed to translate the menu and order some lovely bread was brought out to me in what looked like a chef's hat! Charming and delicious.I then had a lovely fresh salad with a nice dressing.For the main, I then I had a meat trio of pork, beef and chicken with Mediterranean veg and fried potatoes . My husband and I had our wedding celebration here and could not have chosen a better place. In fact, we just returned yesterday for dinner. They use high quality, particularly local and seasonal foods - the result is a great meal. I don`t think they have a standard menu - rather they have several dishes which change with what is in season and available. They experiment around with traditional German food, making it a finer cuisine than you will find in most standard German restaurants. My husband and I stopped in Bad Sackingen on our way to Zurich. We decided to eat here based on the reviews. We asked if we could eat outside & we were told we could. We waited and waited and waited for a server but no one showed up. The servers were taking care of the tables around us but not us. We were nicely dressed and we had showered that day. We don't know why they wouldn't wait on us. Was it because we only spoke English? No idea! I don't recommend this discriminating restaurant to anyone. We finally just got up & left & had a wonderful lunch at another restaurant.

We went here for a business dinner on a normal working day and found the place deserted. The menu was short (always a good sign) and featured mainly the food of the season (asparagus in this case) in all kinds of different combinations. The food was absolutely delicious, including the surprising ice-cream on offer for dessert (I had cucumber-goat cheese), which may admittedly not be to everybody's taste, but which give you a feel for the skills and creativity of the chef. we made a detour to the Fuchshöhle on our way back from Basel based on the excellent ratings.while the restaurant and the village are really nice and very traditional we were not too impressed with the food. the porkbelly tasted nice however the crust was not crunchy and the underlying layer of fat not really cooked. Vegetables were nicely cooked but sauce had very little taste. We will likely come back to the nice village on the Rhine but probably look for another restaurant.

We found this restaurant from the main square, through a very small door next to a wine shop, blink and you'll miss it! It was very traditional, the waitresses were all in authentic greman dress and very pleasant. The food was wonderful, selection from Lobster to steak. There needs to be more catering for children, but really I would consider this and adult haven!

If you have the necessary budget, go visit this place. You won't regret it. The food is really fresh and delicious, they experiment with new creations, so if you are into funky food, thats your place. The interior is nice and clean, the service super friendly. Great place.

Perfect place to have a nice meal. Great seasonal varieties of meals and home made lemonade. Also great to go in the afternoon and enjoy the great cakes they have. Inside it is really nice with all the wall paintings. Staff super friendly. Overall great atmosphere. Reserva una mesa ahora

I've been different times in this restaurant and I've always been charmed. Stylish ambiance, very kind and lovely service and that kind of good food with inventive that I really appreciate.
