While staying at Coogee Beach, we noticed a small Japanese Restaurant a few doors away from where we were staying. A table was free so we took our bottle of wine and looked forward to our meal. The waiter was quick in taking our order and the food came out very quickly. My rainbow roll for entree was beautifully presented and very tasty. For our main, my husband and I both ordered the Tempura Bento Box and enjoyed it very much. Having had such a good experience we actually ate at Fujiyama the next night as well. Popped in for lunch and the food was so good we grabbed some takeaway for dinner..We both ordered Tempura Bento Box and the tempura was light crispy and fluffy. The sushi and sashima fresh and yum! You get two choices with your Bento to add items. We chose Gyozas and Sushimi and Sushi.Its BYO and open for lunch and dinner 7 days a week. Theres an open air parking lot with tickets across the road and its right near the beach.
We were impressed with the freshness and generous portion sizes of both our bento box and the medium sashimi platter. The bento box had a delicious combination of sushi, salad, and cooked chicken, all complemented by excellent sauces and flavors. The sashimi platter offered a good variety of options as well.
This restaurant is great for families, with delicious food, excellent service, and affordable prices. The kids especially enjoy the miso soup served in unique bowls. The air conditioning keeps the temperature comfortable for all guests.

I am a regular here and absolutely love their Cooked Tuna and Salmon roll as well as the Edemame beans...yum! Anothrr favourite is their Katsu Chicken plate...very chrispy chicken...delicious! Highly recommend
Delicious and a lot of choice. Servings were a decent size. Not too quiet, not too noisy. Very busy but didn't wait more than 5 minutes for a table. It's BYO. I'd go back to but wouldn't take my kids.
A very handy little (I mean really little) Japanese joint if you need a quick sushi, sashimi or noodle fix in Coogee. Food was fresh, very nicely presented, attentive friendly service all included.
We stopped-in here for a late lunch and enjoyed our bento-boxes and bimibap. The bento-boxes were extremely generous, with resh, delicious and carefully-presented contents.
