After a day skiing, I generally expect an evening meal in a restaurant with atmosphere (not necessarily busy), and serving a higher standard of fare than the mountain food I ate at lunch. Furka has neither. A bland interior, lacking either rustic charm, or modern chic. There were few other guests, and no attempt was made to fill the vacuum for example by background music.Although the restaurant did much to advertise the local speciality of the area, Cholera (a pie of vegetables, fruit and cheese), it was not available on our visit.
