Gabrielle's - Reserva de mesa

We want to express our immense gratitude to Gabrielle and his staff for giving us an unforgettable Christmas dinner. Each member of our party enjoyed different starters, main courses, and desserts, and all remarked on the outstanding quality, presentation, and taste of the dishes. The kitchen team, front of house staff, and waiters/waitresses deserve special recognition for efficiently serving a large group of hungry diners. The portions were so generous that we were able to bring some turkey home for our dog, who enjoyed it just as much as we did.

Generally very good, menu vast in typical Italian style. Food excellent service friendly if not the fastest but they were busy. What really annoyed me is on paying enquiring that tips on card go to staff we are informed no they didn’t get get them. Nor are they allowed to keep cash tips. Now I am not sure on the legalities however if I choose to make a gratuity then I expect it to go to the people of my choosing. So 1 star lost for this. Policy needs revision immediately.

The restaurant is lacking in atmosphere, with no Christmas decorations even though Christmas was just over a week ago. The food was terrible and left me with an upset stomach for a day. The toilets are in desperate need of updating and seem to be the worst I have ever encountered. I have seen other reviews and wonder if they were written about a different venue altogether.

Stayed overnight in Bishop Auckland and booked a table for a Friday night in advance. The restaurant was very busy with a great atmosphere. The service was welcoming, friendly and efficient. The prawn and mussels starters were excellent and the vegetarian and meat feast pizzas were really nice. Very good value and would definitely eat there again. Reserva una mesa ahora

Friendly Staff, great food and brilliant value for money, would definitely recommend, it’s a short 10 minute walk from town, if lost ask people where the Mitre pub is. We enjoy the great value 2 courses for £14 which had lots of choice we Staff were very attentive

The restaurant is always fantastic. My family of 12 had a wonderful Christmas meal here, after two years of disappointing dinners at local hotels that were more expensive and lower in quality. The staff, service, and food are consistently excellent.

Doesn’t look much from outside but really nice inside, lovely friendly staff, excellent food and great value. the early evening 2 course menu is a bargain!
