This place was so dirty it was unbelievable the dirt in the place big workmens boots all over the shower, the smell from the bathroom was so over powering it made us both sick, the breakfast was disgusting I would not have feed it to a dog we took breakfast one day and never went back again our whole stay, The room I booked and paid over 1400 pounds for is the room I did not get,the room that I booked was a superior one bedroom apartment with a sea view, I got a dirty room which smelt so bad even the towels smelled like vomit, I had to go out and buy towels and use the towels I had brought with me for the Sun beds, There is no lift so we had to walk up and down 32 steps, I went to the recept...
Before I say anything specific about the hotel I’ve got to say the staff were great. The location of the hotel is nice and in centralised and extremely accessible to the main resort. Unfortunately there’s just a few quirks that let this place down. Yes, it’s your typical 3(ish) star hotel for an economic getaway in lanzarote so expectations aren’t sky high, it is what it is for a cheap getaway but it’s little things such as: No air conditioning? Very surprising to not have this what so ever in a reasonable canary island hotel. I’m very thankful to have been here in March before it got too hot. Stayed in March for a week, a family of 4 with a baby in 2 one bedroom sea view apartments on a bed Breakfast basis. First the positives and they a lot location fantastic, apartments have everything you need and are clean with a really good balcony. Breakfast has a really good choice every day and the only hotel we have stayed in that has English bacon on offer every day. Plenty of sunbeds every day so there really isn't any point in waiting for the cleaners to finish every morning before taking beds! Amplio apartamento. Solo un gel de ducha/champú para tres noches, no muy bueno, pero la habitación estaba limpia solo que las puertas no cierran bien, ¡gran balcón grande! Los limpiadores siempre trabajando duro. El desayuno estaba bien porque tenían avena, eso fue lo único de calidad, pero con media pensión tuvimos que usar restaurantes locales ya que la comida del hotel no era atractiva, en un punto tuvimos que salir porque la comida era de muy baja calidad. Estaba mal presentada y con pocas opciones, nada estaba fresco y no hay excusas ya que no es económico hospedarse aquí. Stayed here due to many reviews and recommendations. This hotel must have very different rooms as we had the worst room. I couldn’t cook in the kitchen area it was in great need of renovation. Fridge all rusty had hairs in when we arrived. Bathroom was outdated had mould,doors falling apart Furniture in room very outdated had names carved in it ! Was very quiet for sleeping and bedroom was nice. Only received a tiny bar of soap that was not replaced had to use shower gel to wash hands. Definitely not enough loungers for everyone people queuing up 45mins before being unchained for £1800 for a week I expected a little better.
We were looking around for a cheap week to get away somewhere and after comparing everything we divided on a first time trip to the Galean Playa at Costa Teguise we have been to Lanzarote many times but always stayed 4 or 5 star so to us this was a risk as we had heard that there could be problems staying at the Galean Playa I can only lay praise on all the staff from the reception and onwards our room was very clean and comfortable and visited regular with clean sheets and towels All the facilities you could want even including a tea towel which we found after we had bought one
Visitamos este hotel por segunda vez por 1 semana en régimen de alojamiento y desayuno. Había enviado un correo electrónico con anticipación solicitando una vista a la piscina y no me decepcionó, la habitación era perfecta. Excelente ubicación cerca de bares, restaurantes y supermercados justo al cruzar la calle. Nadar en el mar y en la piscina fue perfecto. Gracias Galeón Playa por unas vacaciones geniales, esperamos regresar.
Estaba un poco aprensivo/a al reservar en Galeón después de leer reseñas negativas, pero me alegra haberlo hecho. Nuestras habitaciones eran encantadoras, impecablemente limpias, la limpiadora venia cada dos días para cambiar las camas, etc. La ubicación es fantástica, justo en la playa y a pocos minutos de bares, restaurantes y supermercados. ¡Ya hemos vuelto a reservar para el próximo año!
We've been to this hotel twice. 1st time we got a room with a sea view and it was really nice. 2nd time we got a standard room and it was very dated. Pool was nice and staff were friendly but I wouldn't book a standard room again l, I would definitely book the sea view room again. Location is great on the sea front and close to the bars and restaurants.
