Gandhi - Reservar una mesa

As non-German customers, we were really mishandled,specially by the waitress, who saw an opportunity to make money on us ( 2 starters,2 main dishes with some Nan Brot and a bottle of cheep Indian wine amount to a total bill of 69,50 euros not worthing it ! )1/ After our order was taken, we were told later on that it would take half an hour or more to serve a Dhal Shorba or a Mulligatawney !!!2/ The Lamb Madras Subji contains in fact of Beef meat (my spouse dicovered it) !3/ The Machi Curry was prepared with frozen fish !4/ No credit cards are accepted !5/ An ING bank Maestro card (world-wide accepted) was refused because not issued in Germany !!! It is simply not to recommend at all !!!

Gandhi has an authentic atmosphere and a large variety of dishes. We picked the restaurant because it's menu is vegan friendly. The dishes we had were all very tasty and colourful. The staff was very nice and helpful. As our debit card had trouble on their payment machine, we had to walk a few 100m to an ATM. The owner deeply apologised and offered us a desert on the house! They even made an extra effort to specifically make these vegan. That's what we call service :).

Me and my wife walked for 30 Mins to reach this restaurant only to get a RUDE shock from the German standing on reception , the time was 1345 and still there was 45 mins to close but he said kitchen is closed and asked us to go !!! Anyways it happened for good that we saw a new restaurAnt by the name PUNJABI where it was opened till 1500 and unlimited Indian food for 9.90 euros , avoid GANHI restaurant at all costs!!!

My husband and I love Indian food and were looking for a good Indian restaurant in Germany. Ghandi has an amazing service and even more amazing food! There Dhal is to die for! Every time we are back in Braunschweig it is a must to eat there!

The service was good with nice indian style dress code for the waiters. The food was good but the naan were not the real ones but instead more of bun. We were welcomed though it was nearly fully booked. The price is more on the higher side.
